One toy that you didn’t mention was View Master. I had the hand held viewer and the projector with quite a selection of reels. I’m 63 years old and still have them both. Although the bulb is burnt in the projector and haven’t had any luck finding a replacement. I used to spend many hours watching them when I was a youngster.

Oh yeah. Had plenty of those. Watched Bugs Bunny slides in 3d. And like the other response comments say: Tonka was great. Those toy vehicles were stout. Hot Wheels too. I think one of us boys had an Easy Bake at one time, but of course, it wouldn't really even make toast. The electric trains were great too. Think that was monopolized by one or two makers, but can't remember their names. The race tracks were ok, but seems I remember the cars going to fast and falling off the track before even making a lap or them not moving worth a poop at all. And that reminds me of electric football. Good concept - maybe - but awful execution. Looked like a mutiny when your linemen turned on your quarterback. Slot-hockey was better. More like foos-ball, where you could actually control the action. Oh my gosh. No one mentioned Etch-a-Sketch.

Spent my early childhood in the 70's, and my God, how awesome the toys of that decade were! I had the Fisher Price medical kit from this video. I remember a boatload of FP toys scattered across the basement of my 1970's house, including the wooden Jalopy with lop-sided wheels and a bobblehead clown riding on top, and the one you pushed like a lawnmower with little colored balls popping around inside a clear plastic dome. Then as I got older, there were other toys like Star Wars, Shogun Warriors, Hot Wheels, the Even Knievel stunt cycle, Energized Spider Man, Lionel trains, slot car sets, Burning Key Cars, Big Trak, the Starbird Avenger spaceship, plastic model dinosaurs, green army men, etc. The toys absolutely defined the 70's for me!
I was born in 1961 and remember most of those toys. "Opration", "Hot Wheels", "GAF Viewmaster", "SSP"were some of my favorites. Those were the good ole toys for kids. Too bad that kids today will never experience what toys were back then.

@@lobsterwhisperer7932 Your teenage years are part of your childhood.
I was fortunate to be born in ‘66 and grow up in the’70s. Man landed on the moon on my 3rd birthday, Evel Knievel was my hero, and I got to play Asteroids at the bowling alley arcade. It was a fantastic childhood!!!
The 1970s were the greatest and the last decade when famiies had dinner together and had livingroom campfire moments- watching the same television and shows at the same time. Great moments in time. And I will cherish those moments for the rest of my life.
I was born in ‘77 so I owned and played with most of these, as I got most of my toys secondhand. As far as the fashion, that’s definitely what my parents, aunts & uncles, and their friends dressed like. Thanks once again Rhetty for another humor infused nostalgia video!

Me and my sister had probably 80 percent of the toys and games in this video she was born in 70 me 73. What a great time to be a kid! Right before the world turned to crap! With social networking and online gaming. We were the last of the fortunates.. great video thankyou!
My God, I had a lot of these toys. I havent thought about them for decades. That fisher price auto garage in particular was so amazing as a 3 year old.
Born in 1972 and wow did this bring back memories!! Thank you for the stroll down memory lane!

Thanks for bringing the toys we had back to our memories, i had the desk but, it had a seat, a big desk, with letters/ chalk board/ lights and color full pegs it was my favorite toy when i was a little 👧 girl.
Grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and remember most of these. Either had them or had a friend that did. Great fun.
Born in 1968. Played with every single one of these toys with my friends at some point. I remember also “Ghost Gun” and “Screech Owl” (Maybe?)…we loved the “ghostly” and “scary” games. Of course, after 1977, all I did was get Star Wars toys and figures…!

Was a kid in the 70’s and a teen in the 80’s wouldn’t trade my childhood with anyone today. Life was great then.
I'll never forget the Evel Knievel stunt cycles. The scars on my right knuckles from scraping them on the driveway while cranking it are a permanent reminder of that awesome toy.
That Paddington bear shown at the start is one I'll never forget, because it's literally the first thing I was ever given and who gave it to me. My grandparents were away on a trip to New York city on the day I was born. Yet my grandfather had heard my mom's water broke right as they were getting ready to leave for that day, so he ran into FAO Schwartz and looked around for something, if anything, that seemed appropriate to give to a baby. That's when he saw "him". A Paddington Bear plushie, standing on a shelf in bright red rubber boots with a blue raincoat and yellow hat. This bear, I still have'im, has been my constant buddy for forty long years. I refuse to get rid of him because he's been with me far too long.

Paddington was very cute indeed. I still have a Raggedy Ann doll that my great grandmother hand made for me in the late 60s. I'll always treasure that.

I am an 80s child however a lot of these 70s toys spilled over into my childhood and I certainly do remember them!
I grew up in the 80s and received a lot of toys from the 70s as hand me downs. Loved them!
I loved Weeble Wobbles, Light Bright, and Spirograph. But the one I played with the most was Mouse Trap. When we moved my mom sold it in a yard sale but I had the diving guy and the mouse. I still have them.😊

This brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you so very much for helping me remember those wonderful times.
I actually had many of these toys and remember all of them
Grew up with most of these toys. The 70s were a great time to be a kid because it was like the wild west. Free to do as you want without all the rules and restrictions of today. Up until recently I could actually find a lot of these toys still in retro stores that have since closed down.
Loved Battleship 😊

Perfect! Captures all the innocence and fun of what we played with in a far, far better time than now.I still have my 'Wooly Willy' and It still is a great toy!
I remember as a kid growing up in 70's New Zealand going to the Coconut Flea Markets on a Saturday morning.
Seeing Evel Knieval made me think of those 70s and 80s sports stars who were everywhere then, from cereal boxes to TV game shows. Like Joe Namath, Nadia Comenechi, Cathy Rigby, Mark Spitz, Olga Korbut, etc. They were always on tv or in magazines but we never hear of them anymore. I think this might be a good video, if you haven't already done one already.

"PROBE" was another great word game, my Mom was a journalism major, she always encouraged us to play games with words... Miss you Mom.
Etch a sketch....Baby Alive...Lemon Twist...Romper Stompers...Knicker Knockers...Rockem Sockem Robots...Stretch Armstrong...Mrs. Beasley...View Master...all these I remember from my 70's childhood.😊
Oh my god, I had the Donald Duck Tricky Trapeze! I've never seen it mentioned anywhere. And a bunch of these toys, also hung on well into the 80s, so those of us who grew up then got to play with them too, also yes Perfection was a great way to develop anxiety.

Stretch Armstrong was a fun toy. Pogo sticks, electro sets, and paper doll sets, and 4 wheeled roller skates
WOW!! With two exceptions, every one of those toys was in my house! The Evel Knievel motorcycle was completely indestructible...we launched it off our third floor porch roof and it landed perfectly!! Thank you for this video!👍🙏
