Die deterioration is definitely common on the 1978 (which is more commonly mild and most often limited to the 8), and the 1979 (which seems to be even more common, can be far more pronounced, and is far more likely to affect more of the digits in the date). I don't know that this actually increases the value at all, but it's really neat to see this type of doubling when it's really pronounced. I do pull them aside. The common diie deterioration on the 78's and 79's that you've featured in the video, and which are common in these two dates, are not examples of machine doubling, or mechanical doubling. The 1970 & 1972 Canadian Pennie’s have die deteriorated around the forehead and nose and lips and chin area

I live in Michigan and keep every Canadian Coin I find. I may have one penny for every date from 1940 to 2000 . I have 5 of the 1967 penny with the Rock Dove on it.

I've got a 1979 Canada coin were the whole date doubled bad and it's crocked the last 9 is dropped way down

What about the 1973 machine doubling Canadian penny? I went through a mint state roll and found seven pennies that have doubling on (ELIZABETH REG II) and all over the queen's spine. Does it make the coins valuable since I'm more than confident they can easily be graded MS 67+ on a Sheldon scale ?

I just soent $14000 at my bank and got all their Canadian money.12 boxes of Tuoonies. Every coin was fake Not just the 1996. I have 7 or 8 of the real German coins. How do I sell them and get the most.

Great video. Glad I came across it as I have 27 1978 Pennie’s Wild. Where would I sell these. Are they valuable without the doubling ? I have to look at all of them I also have 31 Pennie’s 1979 Canadian pennies
