Thank you so much, my mother just died because of dementia. I took care for her several years. I'm so glad I could help her and I'm really missing her... 😢 This is heartwarming 💕 Love from Holland P.S She was a beautiful and proud woman, so it was hard to see her struggle. She could be very agressive towards caretakers, even towards me. And very confused in place and time. But then again she could be sweet and loving as well. She loved music and we sang a lot together, made us very close. But it's a terrible disease and I'm releaved her struggle has ended. Thank you once again, Reina. Very well done 💕💕

Two strange things here: 1) I found y'all while looking up "The Tennessee Waltz" to play at my moms funeral. She'd grown up playing it on the piano while her mother and daddy danced. You did a beautiful rendition of that! 2) I was born in 1970. I've been talking for the last month about dementia (runs in my family) and warning people about my generation is becoming 'that age'...we're about to see a HUGE rise in our country. THANK YOU for bringing awareness to this subject. All of you are wonderful, but of course it's always nice to see you and Toni are doing well and looking as beautiful as always. XOXOXO

I`ve been a musician for now more than 40 years. I grew up in a time where musicians still had the time to grow as a band and not have been designed by producers and record companies just to fulfill doubtable needs of a possible audience, which mostly are just good for the bank accounts of those business sharks. I found myself in an almost endless number of musical situations, played with a lot of different artists in just as much different styles. I've seen fashions come and go, and over the last few years unfortunately seeing some of my musical idols leaving the planet. It's so good to see that there is an upcoming new generation who really knows what makes a song great, what makes music great.... it has to touch your heart without deviation via the consciousness of the brain Keep on doing with what you do and the way you do it. Keep on growing as a performer, player, writer, whatever. Don't let them tell you what's right or wrong. Being a musician is a team sport and it's meant to be that way. The world needs more bands like this one i just listened to. Thank you Reina and all your band members

I'd seen Reina with Josh Turner and Molly (?) and that other guy ...I mean Carson (just jesting), and I stumbled on this the way you do on YT. That first fur bar drum intro caught me. but then the poignant lyrics of your song hit home. I am not unfamiliar with caring for Alzheimers victims. I'd just like to say that you Reina, and your compatriots give me hope for music in a world seemingly dominated by rap and preprogrammed 8 bar loops. Thank you.

As Rosie and I get ready for our 52nd wedding anniversary in two days I think back on the picture I took of her in front of the Brown Stucco house the day I received my draft papers for the U.S. Army. The song I wrote (Brown Stucco house) reflects this and how my friend Bobby and I would take turns on his old Gibson on those same steps. Bobby died shortly thereafter in Vietnam. Keep up the splendid work Reina and Toni. Burlington Bill here busking from home and the road!

I've been a casual fan for a long time. I show your stuff to my girls, ages 10 and 13, to show them a talented musician and songwriter. This one was different for me. I haven't been touched by these terrible conditions too closely, but we all see our parents and grandparents over the years and their decline. I'm younger, at least for now, but maybe I'll remember 2007 like that some day when I was a young man in the navy and just married. The sentiment here in your song is just absolutely heart-rending. This is what real music does. Not the stuff that's put out by committee at a record label with the formulaic chords and lyrics. Sometimes, life is hard. It deserves a song too.

This is a great song by all but yea this drummer is really good. Check her out with Josh Turner on this Ray Charles thing. Amazing. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nH9tw7Ozkcmecco.html She’s really special. Im happy Josh and Reina and Toni hooked up with her. They deserve to play with great musicians.

Thank you for a beautiful song about a tragic condition. So tastefully done! I hope people are inspired to find their community of Alzheimer’s/Dementia volunteers and join the campaign to help the sufferers and fight for a cure. It starts with awareness, and more is needed. Thank you! What an incredible way to spread awareness. Beautiful.

🥲O yeah... it has taken a few days to get off the floor 😊 after realizing the depth ❤️ here 🌟...Reina del Cid...🌟 thank you for this song! I would lovingly encourage loved ones to have that talk...the sooner the better...cos life is short enough already......The confidence we fear loosing ... is fear ... dispelling the dark shape of fear, helps to bring love 💕 near...most of us love it, when love is near......"1970" is a song waiting for a film...I mean, it feels soooo Cinematic!!! 🥰🥰

A great song! I must say that by stumbling across Josh Turner over a decade ago, a door opened to a huge roomful of wonderfully talented musical artists who never cease to amaze, uplift and impress! From a 67 yr old guitarist, bassist and drummer who would have loved to ran across players like you all when I was your age, warmest regards and please… keep it coming!

Having been a caregiver for countless people with various forms of dementia since my grandfather, in 1980, these lyrics bring back so many memories and help me to cherish the memory of those lovely heartbreaking people. In the truest sense, you're a bard. Thank you, for myself and for posterity, thank you.
