I think you may have made a mistake. Plymouth build the Barracuda *and* the ‘Cuda,’ as two separate models. Some people mistakenly think 'Cuda is just a nickname for the Plymouth Barracuda, like how Chevrolet and Chevy are interchangeable. While the cars are related, like how a Mustang and a Shelby GT500 are, Plymouth launched the 'Cuda as the more performance-oriented version of the Barracuda back in 1969.

With that kind of power, that torsion front suspension is your weakest link. In '73 I bought a 1969 Plymouth GTX with a 440 Super commando 4 speed Hurst. True, not much compared to a Hellcat. But, even with 4:10 gearing, it would wind out well above 150 mph. With torsion suspension it was not only a stupid thing for me to do.....it was terrifyingly dangerous. I'm lucky to be alive.

Had a black ‘70 Cuda. Sold in 1976 to pay college tuition. A chick magnet And…. Was it fast. Bought a second one in my 50’s… the powered scared the shit out of me. … parked it for a year and sold it for a $5000 profit. 🥲🥲🥲 both were BLACK !

Its a 70, with a 71 "Billboard stripe" . 70 trim, tailights etc. 70's typically have the "hockey stripe". This doesn't have the fender gills etc

I'm gonna put an ecodiesel v6 in my 70 cuda. I wanna do an 8 speed automatic transmission in it and 4 inch true straight pipe duals. It'll sound like a cummins but it'll actually fit under the hood. Should get insane fuel mileage as well due to the ecodiesel getting 33 mpg in a 6 or 7,000 pound full size pickup truck. Gonna need to do the torque box reinforcements for it, but I plan on keeping the torsion bar suspension up front and doing air shocks in the rear. Gonna be one helluva ride.

Sorry, but that 1970 Cuda has been recalled. It needs to be dropped off at my house for safety reasons and performance evaluation. Two weeks should be a good enough period.

@@Ridingfish but like let's be real for a second you don't know nothing about the car then there's no reason you should get one because due to the fact you're going to have to be fixing your own car someday so if you don't know nothing about the car how it works and what it needs to be fixed on the car or within the car but I recommend if you're a first-time starter guy engines I recommend a Chevy 350 for a built of a first-time starter as in a first beginner engine build so that way you know how the car works Chevy ford and Dodge there all the same motor just because fluid pump or brake pump or the oil setup is different same thing because if all those engines can push about 750 hp the gears in your transmission what makes you faster not the engine
