Oh man that is the sled my dad bought when I was 7. Bogey wheels gave a brutally roughy ride.

Good memories - that was the first sled I ever had! Was always envious of my buddy’s Arctic Cat with the 18” track, which made his machine far less “tippy” than my Ski-Doo! It’s AMAZING what another ten years of development did to the snowmobile industry - by the late 70’s sleds had so much more refinement and styling!

Yes they changed very fast. I remember some of the first steering rods were just bent at a 90 degree angle with a cotter pin through them By the late 70s they were all ball and joint. Thanks for looking!

They went to plastic fuel tank in 1971. I had a 1972 Olympique with a 335cc single. I loved carving with that thing in the powder.

Nice one. Always wanted a single cylinder vintage snowmobile. But all I've got are twins!

Dad bought me a used 335 in 74 between clutch issues , mufflers cracking … it for sure got looked at in garage broke down… more than it got rode… worst thing I thought…. Most rode them on your knees 😤 traded for a 69 panther… I never looked back… I,m 63 today… still ride 69 panthers❤️ never on my knees… cats turn so much nicer…

Thanks so much for producing these videos.. These are the sleds I grew up with. I do have two questions for you. You have a lot of great running sleds. Do you have a favorite ? I am also curious how your skidoo 400 four hundred free air compares to the Arctic Cat El Tigre 440 free air power wise ? Thanks again and keep up the good work. Best regards, Brian

I can't pick a favorite. Different memories with each one. As far as the 400 fa skidoo and the El tigre , they are both very good performers. What is good about both the skidoo 400 fa and the el tigre is they were both very good on hard pack and in soft snow. Thanks so much for looking!
