The W123 Mercedes Benz, particularly its diesel variants has gained widespread popularity as being a tough and indestructible car, while featuring classic simple lines that stays true to Bruno Sacco's design language. It's so simple and dependable that it's still used as taxi cabs 40 years after its production. It simply refuses to die. However, long before the introduction of the W123 body, there was already a benchmark setter that helped solidify Mercedes Benz's role in the development of the the best passenger car, and has proved that those who wanted four wheels had the option to get the best.... or nothing. I present to you a Paul Bracq masterpiece. Today's tester is on the 1970 Mercedes Benz 250 W114.
