About 20 years ago a neighbor put one out on the curb . As I happen to drive by. I curiously backed up , to took a closer look, the homeowner comes out , I thought he was going to tell me someone was coming by to pick it up, instead he asks me if I needed help loading it in my car . It turns out he had just bought the house and the previous owner used it as a halfway house and the amp had been left behind in the back. The best things in life are free.

I have a similar sory about a guitar I found in the city dump . although the pickups strings were gone plus a few other parts the serial showed it to be a Gibson 1957 les paul JR. Needless to say i loaded it up .
Best demo I've heard showing the wonderful tones of a Twin Reverb. In my opinion it's the best amp ever made by Leo Fender. It's also the industry workhorse.

I disagree, Blonde / Oxblood Showman for me - but I can see how you'd like a Twin. They're very similar.

best video i have ever seen...the sound recording is flawless!!!
incredible. the best video i have ever seen in my life
Really, really good review. This is how you do it folks!
You really got a great tone out of that single sm57!
These old Fender Twin Reverbs sound beautiful. There is a little difference in sound that I've notice between the 1970 models and those mid to late 60''s Fender Twin Reverb. All in all a great amp to have (if you got the money ha ha) and a good video. Thanks
That shot when the amp was kind of in the middle ground with a mic pointed at it and the little red light was on … I felt that.
Such beautiful clean sound! Hope see this one with a tube screamer.
Awesome amp, you're a great player too
MY GOD! That thing sounds GREAT!
Finally, a good video that doesn't waste time! You say that the second channel on (some) amps has a pad to attenuate the signal from humbuckers or higher-gain signals. I think I forgot that little tidbit along the way!! Thanks! Great audio, by the way!
My guitar teacher had one and it's by far my favorite
Makes me want to buy one of these.
That is the best jazz playing I have ever heard. Very talented dude
Very sweet sound
Sounds great!
Mmm, very tasty playing. You’re probably the most talented jazz guitar player who has ever walked the face of the earth. Nice review👍🏻
Aaron this is a very good video
Amazing amp
Owned this year/model amp that I bought new in 1970. Blew the speakers and put in JBL D-120s. Played first with a Guild T-100D and later with a 1971 Gibson SG. I have to confess that I was unhappy with the amp because my ideal tone was along the lines of Clapton/Allman and it was impossible to get that tone at anything less than deafening volumes. Also, back then pedals were mostly crappy. I had an EHX LPB-2 (linear power booster) that improved the tone but was so noisy that it was almost unusable. I was in college at the time and my amp was used by a lot of artists on "fly dates", including Larry Coryell, John Sebastian, Martin Mull, and others. The amp was stolen from my apartment in 1974.

I've owned 4 different Silverface Twins over the years, I've got one now. It's a big gig amp, needs a lot of bodies. When you have the right place it's a great amp. The reverb and trem are lush. I have 4 fenders, scaled for different rooms, Twin is festival amp cranked it lovely, but i want an 4 EL34 amp, Marshall, always wanted one

there's a new sheriff in town, the Twin Tonemaster, get one!
I just picked up a practically new twin last week. I like the overall sound, but disappointed with the amount of hiss. Some say its normal for the twins and I’ve seen a few videos where I can hear a very similar level of hiss. Yours seems almost completely quiet. Is there a particular technique your using or are they actually not supposed to hiss?

I’ve got a brand new 65 reissue and it hums more than I’d like, I’m an electronics engineer so I’m going to tear into to find out why and if I can do anything about it. I suspect it might be biased wrong as it’s now a few months old and I don’t remember it doing that when I first plugged it in, so something with the tubes breaking it and maybe needing some adjustments...

Your amp probably needs a cap job.
That's channel ONE, actually. Vibrato channel is channel TWO. Nice sounding Twin.

He said the first channel of the vibrato section. Should have said the first input.
What kind of speakers in that twin?
Did you haven get some ezzing sound if how did you corrected
I was expecting a lot louder at 6, pleasantly surprised. I think running one into a 4x12 marshall cab with JBLs could get interesting
Hey what speakers are in this amp? You got the JBL D120F? If so write to me on facebook..
man what speakres you used here?
JBL D120F speakers or not?

What is the price
how much you want for it? I had one that I got in 1988 but it was sold out of the storage I had it in by a very enebriated and pompous step mother. You have yours in emaculate condition. I miss that amp I probably can't afford what you want but I have had a blast going down memory lane. Good luck selling it, who ever gets it has a cherry deal at any price you ask.
@joevannucci1392

I don't know what he's asking, but you might be surprised at the affordability. These big SF amps usually go for much less than a new reissue, and even though (IMO) the reissues sound decent, the SFs will outlive them.
@jeremycoyle3331

Joe Vannucci I agree. I have a 75 ultra linear twin which is less desirable than the lower wattage twins but I didn't pay very much for it. The 135w twins are awesome because there's virtually no breakup at high volumes so if you're like me and played smaller venues with no house pa, you didn't have to worry about your clean tone suffering at high volume. Same fender cleans, takes pedals well, and extremely affordable. If you're not a blackface snob, the silverface era produced some real gems that can be picked up for a song!

wow, sold out of storage by the evil step mother, it has the pain and pathos of a biblical torture tune, but let's just call it the blues. I hope somehow the wrong is righted (wink--two behind the ear)..

The best sound. My music teacher owned and ran a little coffee shop venue place and ooof he played so loud bc as he said "you can play however loud you want when you own the place" 😂
Ahh. NORMAL channel sounds SO much better than the "VIBRATO.". As is the case with most blackface Fender amps.
Good demo if you were trying to sell it to the Guitars and Lawrence Welk

Bruce Munro congrats bro! not everyone has the space or the urge to crank a twin to 10. Also not everything has to be high gain, and not everyone gives a shit about metal. it’s a fender twin we are talking here, go complain about it on a Marshall demo not on a fucking silverface demo lol... Most people are here to enjoy the cleans this amp has to offer.

Dummy...i’m making fun of you when i say that you must think wimpy air supply rocks hard...but you’re too much of a numbskull to get the sarcasm. you can buy a ferrari and only drive it to the grocery store in 2nd gear...and you can but a fender twin and keep the master and gain at 4.... But that would be really really really really realy really wasteful!! Understand beavis???
