Working on my 1970 Chevy Nova fixing coolant leaks and doing burnouts!!!. Thats what this video is about my big block chevy in my Nova has been slowly leaking coolant from the water outlet gasket. The o ring has failed and flattened out causing a slow leak. I eliminate the o ring and go back to using a flat paper gasket and RTV silicone sealant. And of course it solves the problem, after fixing it I had to road test the cooling system to make sure it was going to hold. The best way to test a big block chevy in a Nova is of course take it out and do some high RPM burnouts. I find a country road just out of town to rev the engine up to 6300 RPM and dump the clutch. The Nova is running really well and is a blast to drive. I'll be posting more videos of this car as I continue to put miles on it this summer.
