1969 Pontiac Firebird Pro Touring Garrets Rod Shop 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals Columbus OH
In this video from the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals held in Columbus OH, I have this 1969 Pontiac Firebird built by Garrets Rod Shop. This 69 Firebird is covered in mile deep black paint and Garrets added a Red Bird to the hood that came on latter models...I really like that splash of color. The custom red leather interior works well with the rest of this build. Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will please everyone, I think the ones that Garrets Rod Shop chose to run on this 1969 Pontiac Firebird from the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals work well with the rest of the build. Under the hood things have been cleaned up and a LS added. Suspension and brakes have been upgraded, So that this 1969 Pontiac Firebird handles as well as it looks..And if the car wasn't cool enough, the story behind this car is just as cool...It was the owners first car..He didn't buy it new, He's not that old. Every day since He purchases it He has dreamed of taking it to this level. Many years later and after telling his family that He sold it so they would quit giving Him a hard time about how bad of shape it was in, here it sets...A 1969 Pontiac Firebird from the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals from Columbus OH finished by Garrets Rod Shop..Check it out!!

Once again thank you Sir, I I had a 1969 firebird with a pumped up 400 in it I never got to drive it as an owner I drove it when a friend of mine owned it I got it off of him bring it home and within 3 days the police stole the car, nobody believes me when I tell that story. Anyway a friend of mine heard about what happened and a year later I got the 68 firebird I have now with the 350 2 barrel in it it is in primer patina and needs work all over the place I've had it for years and I love the thing to death I wish it was clean as the one that you just showed, anyway thanks again and you hit the ball right out of the park for me with this one!

I have a 69 bird and can’t wait to get my vision realized. I noticed this bird has no wipers. I’m betting it’s because it’s very aerodynamic and all the water flings right off lol

that is beautiful. also, the only time I have ever seen the "screaming chicken" actually look awesome. also, although the wheels could be better, at least they are perfect size, avoided the too large wheels.

Thanks for checking it out...And just asking...What makes the wheels you would chose better than these to someone that spent months looking for the perfect wheel and chose these???...I'm sure the ones you would chose...someone would say...Why did He chose those!?!?...So they may be "different" that doesn't make them better!

well, I had a detailed answer to your question but it does not show, perhaps because I included some links to photos. anyway, Year One Rally II wheels would have been perfect for this beautiful car along with many Forgeline wheels. These wheels, one they are too much black, two, the eyes are drawn to the holes in the spokes rather than the actual spokes or wheel design, which is distracting, not in a good way. anyway, your opinion may differ, that's what makes a horse race. I really enjoy this channel and this is a beautiful car.
