Exhaust note sounds a lot like the Bullitt movie car. Excellent work. A lot of Bullitt wannabes just don't get the exhaust note right.

I legit love these cars and this is my dream car, 68 gt done up to look like the movie car is the coolest car ever

P.S.also switch out those turbo mufflers for a set of Cherry Bombs. Then it would really be perfect.

The passenger side mirror just kinda leapt out at me. Checked the movie, and yep, no mirror. I don't think any automobile of that time used them. But I doubt Steve M. did many shoulder checks.

1st thing is trash the stereo&speakers,no use to me, That engine sounds perfect. You're right about the Mustang could not catch the Charger Mr. VietVet. Back then Chargers ate Mustangs for breakfast and Chevys for lunch. I really miss those days.

You ask how much. You can't afford it.

The Mustang could not keep up with the Charger.....they had to deliberately slow the Charger down to allow McQueen to catch up in the chase scenes. The guy driving the Charger was a great stunt driver.....also did the driving in The Seven Ups.

I always hear this about how much faster the charger was. It had to slow down so the mustang could stay with it. It isn't a fair comparison. The 440 in the charger is dodge's biggest engine. Most of the time it's a match for a street hemi. I'm pretty sure the dodge guys did that on purpose. I'm sure the movie guys didn't care but how about a little fairer comparison like a bone stock 383 charger vs the mustang's stock 390 Outcome might be a little closer.

As soon as I heard 5 speed I lost interest. To each their own but I would never put a 5 or 6 speed into a muscle car. Are you really do that much 80mph highway driving? Get a Gear Vendors overdrive or stick with a modern Mustang. Don't ruin the soul of an amazing 1968 Mustang Fastback.
