Aha! I finally found my 'mystery jacket' 😃. No labels in mine, but is had the exact same cut with green lining and tail flap! Glad you showed yours on the channel, Thanks my friend! I'm rather handy with needle & thread, so I will try to add some of your mods. Thinking of replacing the string at the waist and hem for elastic cord. Your militaria vids are greatly appreciated! Ik vind het Nederlandse DPM-camouflagepatroon ook erg mooi. Sterker nog, ik geef er de voorkeur aan boven de lichter gekleurde Britse versie !!

I do like this jacket design and I wore one for years as a prepper back in the 1980s - 90s. I still have it, though its nowhere as pristine as yours. I have to say, the tailor did a real sympathetic job on this old war horse and it looks great. Real good item for wearing as a top layer jacket in cold, but dry, weather. A lot of squaddies cut the feet of woolen socks and sewed on the tops into the cuffs for extra warmth.

Hey Al bro !! ..I love the additions and will be using this jacket as an every day Spring/Summer wear on dog walks in the woods !! Because of the broken zip the coat was very cheap to buy. I thought about an original replacement but then thought 'why not update it to modern standards ?' ..very glad I did as it is a superb smock as well you know and I will get loads of wear out of it. Polish tailors work for a dime an hour so I have an as new 1968 pattern jacket for a few bucks !! ..awesome !!

Thank you! 😁 It was very new old stock but had a busted brass zip (very heavy) and degraded cracked buttons.. so I thought let's give the old girl a new lease of life !!
