1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV Restoration Project
Years ago, in the great state of Montana, a man sat in his garage, tinkering away on his latest restoration project - a Land Cruiser FJ45LV. Only about a thousand of these vehicles were imported into the U.S. and this man, just happened to have one of them. Our friend didn’t take this matter lightly. That’s why he spent 10 years, painstakingly tracking down parts for the rarest of all 40 series Land Cruisers - parts you can’t even find today. Once the parts arrived, he’d wander back to his garage, and continue his work. Sadly, the man’s declining health forced him to abandon the project and the vehicle was sold to a well-established collector and stored.
When our team heard about this vehicle, we were cautiously optimistic, but after seeing the rig, we were pleasantly surprised. Although fairly rusted, this FJ45LV had almost all of its original parts, including its original motor and transmission. The Cruiser was properly stored and included a treasure trove of parts - which were boxed, and painstakingly sealed and labeled. We went over the inventory, item by item, and just about everything was there.
Our client from Dubai purchased this jewel and sent it to us for a thorough nut and bolt restoration. Now it's a true testament to the legend of the FJ45LV. This car won the "Family Favorites" category of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue in August 2016, and was a Featured Vehicle at SEMA 2016.

My grandpa has one 1985 Toyota FJ45 pick-up and ever since a kid I've been in love with these trucks. He used it a lot for farm work and it was always reliable. He bought it new in 1985 and used it for like 30 years everyday. He actually rebuilt the engine in 2015, after 30 years only changing tires, oil and spark plugs. I have a huge respect for these trucks, they're rock solid. Not to mention how many times he crashed and overturned it. Man, I wish I had one.
Astounding, couldn't take my eyes off the screen. These guys must feel so proud to have achieved this level of perfection.
One best restoration that i ever saw... Cool really except that color choice.. But people who worked behind it... Man nothing less than awesome.

Man That Was fantastique amizing clean job
A bit of an over restoration, better than new! In Chicago I saw at least 10 or 11 FJ45 wagons and one diesel pickup version (BJ) pass thru my doors for service between 1975 and 1990. The BJ and 3 wagons migrated from South or Central America, and were assembled in Brazil; the first non-Japan assembly plant was opened in Brazil in 1958.

Nicely done. What was the cost of restoring this and value of this gem. I'm interested as I'm restoring a couple 45 pick up trucks. They don't have much value here in Costa Rica but thinking of exporting a couple per year in the future.

Very cool! However, should the front fenders be set up a little closer to the front end? Is the a design flaw from the factory?
Shame this vid looks more like a parts catalogue than a rebuild/restoration project.
