Another great car, which took part at the 2014 Vernasca Silver Flag historic hillclimb, was this 1967 Porsche 910 (chassis number 910 013). This car is moved by a 2 litre flat-6 engine which produces 220 bhp at 8000 rpm and a torque of 206 Nm. The weight is of just 575 kilo / 1267.7 lbs. During the event it was driven by Bernd Becker.

How can you not love the sound of an air cooled Porsche? ❤️❤️❤️❤️
is it just me or was an overwhelming majority of badass supercars made in the year 1967? The Lola T70, Ferrari Dino 206 Competizione, Ford GT40 MKIV, Porsche 910, Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, Ferrari 330 P3/4 and 412P. I'm sure I'm missing a few more and even though many great cars came out around this time 1967 just seems to be an iconic year and I found it strange. xD

1967 was the final year for the FIA group 6, which forced pretty much everyone to scramble to make new cars, except Porsche. 1968 limited engine capacity to 3 liters, so the big hitters like Ford and Ferrari said "no thanks", which resulted in things kinda stagnating for a few years. Seemingly admitting their mistake, the FIA made a new category for 5 liter prototypes, resulting in an explosion of awesome cars for 1970. So for some, 1967 is the peak of 60's car design.

@@Someguy1785 yeah, kind of a shame we missed out on so many Ferrari, Ford and Mercedes cars that could have been competing in Le Mans throughout the 70's. Some of them returned later on but the golden era as far as I'm concerned was by that time over.
I love how the race cars from back in the day had way softer suspension making it easier to get a sense of the acceleration on video. Thanks for the video!!

Nice Video from our car. Thank you! But there is one mistake in the discription. The Engine is now a 3.0 L RSR. The original Engine is stored in the garage to save the originality. Best regards from Germany-the Becker's

First of all a very belated thank you for making and uploading this video, as well as presenting the 910. We who enjoy watching these cars depend on generous owners who are happy to share. On another note: my grandfather was from Idar-Oberstein so cheers from the USA.
Love the guy casually reading his huge broadsheet newspaper like this is an everyday occurrence. Even 2014 seems like another era.

Great website. Brings back old times. In my day we called engine sounds the "tone of the mill". Sometimes the tone was paramount over horses. I am in love with the music we make. a true gearhead.

Best engine noise I have ever heard in my life. If I could find some schematics, I will try to design and build an engine based off of this, with the consent of porsche. I want to start a car company after college, and am looking for inspiration lol.

The Porsche 910 was the first Porsche Sportscar with no permission for public roads. With the 906 it was possible to drive on public roads. But they look nearly the same.

You should have heard two of these at Sebring harmonizing as the lead car was wound tighter and they often had perfect harmony. That's for the video.

Je reconnais bien ce bruit familier, malheureusement je ne l'ai jamais donduite car il aurait fallu 2 oreillers sur le siège ,quand j'étais assise dedans ,je ne voyais que le compteur j'avais un trop petit buste et des grandes pattes, dommage, mais cet échappement , un poêeeeeeme..... quel beau souvenir
