I honestly didn't know or remember the Cat V8 diesel engines back in those days, I kinda assumed as a kid in the 80s, that they were all running a straight 6 motor(seemed to be common). Otherwise, super cool trucks this man has worked on, a true artist, the buttons in the interior, the paint scheme, the steps that move out when you open the door....the frame....love the look on those frame rails, almost looks like that frame would belong in an aircraft. The trailer was also a work of art, which I kinda assumed was a modern trailer, not from the 60's, and really a perfect trailer for this truck. Awesome interview everyone, thank you so much!

Definitely the cleanest cabover combo I’ve seen! The newer freightliner argosys have the pop out step when you open the door as well. Still 🔥

You just looked at a KWopper with a 3208 Cat....an 8 cylinder cat [that's rare as chickens teeth] and you dint get him to start it up and give er' a coupla burps to let everyone know "who's got the biggest engine" ! ! Used to hate the polished back doors. Come up on them my head lights reflected off them. Blinding. Patterned doors good. Stretched out, can't hardly take into some towns. Crazy backing.

Barry Myers is a cool ass dude..... And if you can get Barry LaFrance to do an interview with Minus 1 that would be even cooler... Barry painted that Freightliner like 10-12 years ago....

'98-'99 Freightliner Argosy was the first cabover with automatic steps....

That "opening step box" operation when he opens up his door, is not his idea inparticular. might be his idea of the "slide out" routine, but the over all idea of a "hide away/come out" step was from Freightliner's aerocab cabover model in the mid 1990's, that when the driver side & passenger side doors were opened/closed. . . . the hide away steps swung out/closed up from behinde the steer tires! Nice ole Kenworth cabover & cool driver!

What's with all these long body Cabovers? They are all converted garbage haulers. I like the really short Cabovers the ones that tip forward if you have to stop fast. The ones that you can drive in a nascar race lol
