    This is a good video. I just bought a 1965 Showman that should arrive in a few days. It will also need new power supply caps and a few other things but I love doing this stuff.

    These are great amps, and once you do the basic recap and check the tubes and resistors it will work for years and years ahead! These amps are so easy to maintain and repair it's a pleasure to work on them.

    The main filter furthest left on the cap board should have shrink tubing over the lead that connects to ground. In the video it contacts the cloth colored wires that go to the other filters. There's some high DC voltage there.

    Most probably nothing will ever happen, but you are right, heat shrink would be a proper way to do it.

    Sorry for that, the customer was impatient to get his amp back so in the end I didn't have time to make a recording (which I regret).

    hello i need help i bought a fender twin reverb 1976 silver but there is. the same noise as with you if I change these will the sound change my work at 230 volts in europe thank you !?

    I cannot promise that it will for sure, since there are many things that can cause similar noise. But, most likely if you change these it will fix it. Of course, make sure to drain or discharge the capacitors using a capacitor discharge tool. Those filter caps can store dangerous amounts of charge after they've been switched off.
