This commercial is from circa 1965. You can tell by the style of hair and clothes the women are wearing and also by the control panel on the GE washer.

I got the commercial from a show from 1957, but maybe the show was in reruns in the sixties? Hmm. I'll change it, though. Thanks!

General Electric still recommends and packs samples of Tide in modern day machines. The woman in the commercial must have to wait for her husband to scrape up enough for a matching dryer.

Many women still used the old clothes line, as dryers were something new in the the 50s and 60s

when i got my new ge washer, i don't remember having a pack sample of tide. eitherway, we use amway detergent

We would have used Tide but my parents were to cheap to buy it
