Our 1965 RD8 twin track Ski Doo snowmobile. Not real sure if it's called RD8 or Alpine.

Sure looks like an early Alpine forerunner.

yes it is , nice and light and small compared to the alpines!!

That's certainly a neat one. Hey, did that registration card say "north dakota" or "south dakota"? Both have the first word end in 'th' so i couldn't tell.

It said north Dakota. It was registered to the power coop in Bottineau ND. I think it was originally used for checking power lines. Thanks for looking!

Thanks . typed in D5 Ski doo in google on one of the forms there is a discussion and D5 is the double track in (65)

If you put your right leg onto the foot rest the muffler would melt your boot.

yes back then you had to learn by experience!
