This car featured in opening scene of 'Village of the Giants' (1965). Eight people got out of it in the movie which I found unbelievable.

The lift up on the gear selector to start the car was a safety feature. I have a 1969 T bird, and it says in the owners manual about it being a safety feature.

Back in the 60’70’s it was the thing to install those side strips in the side to “protect” against door dings. It spoiled the looks in the process. Worse, some were installed with rivets after drilling holes along the sides of the cars!

Strange. A couple of rare options like reclining pass seat and rear speaker yet no power windows? Steering wheel is wrong. Those would jump into reverse when idling in park. Then the auto release parking brake would pop off and the car would take off in reverse! Surprised there wasn’t a massive recall but in those days nobody cared.
What happened to the original steering wheel? That steering wheel is not stock!
I wonder if that upper center section of the grill was removed for a purpose or is just missing ??

the only downside I see is the aftermarket steering wheel.
The steering wheel alone would keep me from buying this car.
