Gladice and I go back a few years now, and we've had a lot of fun cruising the car shows, and cruise ins.. But since the day I got her, she's had transmission issue's. I've talked around, asked everywhere about getting the old one fixed, but nobody nearby would even look at it, being the old superhydramatic 4spd.. lol.
So I thought about doing a 4 speed manual conversation, and having a good ol time with the 428/ 360hp engine she had.. Not original, of course, just a POWERHOUSE from a 69 Catalina.. lol. But the more I looked into parts, it added up so fast, because those kinds of parts are a little rare for this ol girl..
To be honest a turbo 400 was never really a thought.. I know, I know.. "everybody is doing it" in these Bonnevilles and well, by looking at the patina, and the roof of the car, you can clearly seel I'm like to be different..
So on a whim, I posted the 428 for sale, and it sold pretty quick.. So the "back of the mind dream" started taking shape...
LS SWAP, WITH THE 04-05 GTO COIL COVERS, AND INTAKE.... Not to mention a GREAT sounding choppy chop cam, and 20mpg.. hahaha.. And no better time to do a few other things the old girl needs than while I'm at it...
