We had one of these growing up, it was yellow. We had our house from 1965 until 1993, and it was still working when we gave it away to a vintage collector. Our current GE fridge died after 10 years and we were told it was "a good run". No school like the Old School, I guess!

Now that is just cool. I remember my mom having the stove/oven and the burners would slide out. I think if you had this refrigerator and the stove that would be one awesome kitchen. My moms kitchen was all decorated in the turquoise color and I now have her Kenmore stand mixer in white and turquoise. I would love to send it to you for a overhaul if you can. Great video mate.

Jeez between this and the refrigerator that was on the wall as cabinets. Too bad they don’t make these anymore.

Great vintage fridge. Looks similar to my frigidaire flair stove oven. Love these old vintage appliances.

At first i thought this was the range with the slide out cooktop. Looks very nice, real quality went in to buiding it.

That is really cool. I would love to have a frig like that. The countershelf there is a great feature. I like that ice tray too. Wonder why that design never took off.

I remember there was a similar model that had a chrome “Ice” button in the center of the freezer drawer handle. If you wanted access to ice you would depress the ice button while you roll out the freezer drawer and it would cause the ice tray to slide out along with the drawer. But if you did not depress the ice button and rolled the drawer open the ice tray would remain stowed in place and you would instead have direct access to the upper basket of the freezer drawer. I also seem to remember similar models with the rollout freezer drawer that had a footpedal that would cause the freezer drawer to roll out when you step on it.

I don’t know but that is a kick ass refrigerator. I know it’s a different brand but that would go really good with the Frigidaire flare oven /range

Just out of curiosity, do you have old commercial refrigerators? Like ones for stores or restaurants, or other institutions, like schools or hospitals? I don't want one, or anything. I'm just curious if they had commercial ones in the past, that were weird or interesting because on first glance, the one in this video looks like the kind of thing I'd imagine they would've used in a doctor's office to store vaccines or something. But I don't think they'd make something like that blue. I don't really see the appeal of the middle counter part in a home, but it looks like it would be good for offices or stores or something like that.

Melissa I would imagine back in the day this would be convenient if someone wanted “extra” counter space and the convenience of transferring your cold items directly in front of you for if you needed to slice vegetables/fruits or set up as a beverage station for easy access to your drinks and ice all at one spot instead of going back and forth

@@Vintage55Restorations I didn’t seek your video it just rolled into it. I have no problem with your family but I do have issue when people tune in to watch for information and they get those types of distractions we are giving our time as well and if you are no a regular KZreadr I apologize but many do it to earn income and our views play into the algorithm that decides that income. The truth is I was annoyed at the constant interruptions I have low tolerance for that. I don’t know why I even said anything other than I was annoyed enough at the time.
