It wss so Jetsons! I was 7yrs old. After seeing the Thunderbird I thought for sure that by the time I was old enough to drive there would be flying cars! 🤣👍

The 63 looks the best with that crease and squared off front guard . And that dashboard layout . Just beautiful

I remember playing in them as a kid the interior was like a Batman car all that chrome and the steering wheel that could move in all directions. Then came the hidden head lamps just amazing. That was a true American classic car. Cheers 🇨🇦

63 non Landau in silver mink was my first car, my folks bought it new and I got it 10 years later, drove it to high school 2 years then sold it I can say for sure it was trouble free and that exhaust system never failed after 12 years not 3 (maybe living in California helped) I loved it, girls loved it but not as much as the 72 Z28 I replaced it with.

Ah, the "beep" sound of filmstrips. Children of the 50's 60's and 70's know it well.

I took my drivers test when I was 16 in my Uncles's '63 Landau, Silver Mink with a black vinyl top and black interior. It was gorgeous.

03:17 "This hood release is right here" (pointing to a lever sticking out of the grill, just above the front bumper). "Right where it's most convenient for the driver who doesn't have to bother with a release inside the car". If that isn't putting lipstick on a pig, it's pretty darned close. 😅 😂 🤣

I thought the same thing!.. it truly is better to have the hood release safely inside the car.

Being a person who works on my own cars, I prefer an outside hood release. It was once the norm for most models.

It is a classic and beautiful car, but I prefer the model 1960, in my point of view the best among all Thunderbirdas ever made!

Heavy steel Chrome plated bumpers, Stainless steel running down the topsides! Big block 390 V-8. I wonder if Ford made the same exact vehicle today part for part what would it cost?

That is to let the projector operator to know to move to the next slide. The audio is from a record. Video from a film strip. The beep synced the two

I didn't realize 63 had an alternator instead of a generator.

I didn't know Ford had caught on that quickly, but they were paying attention. The first production car with an alternator was the 1960 Plymouth Valiant.

While the 'bird kept its sales lead, the new Riviera was both a more striking design and a better driving car.

Buick Riviera was definitely a newer Style but the Thunderbird was the class leader in sales and popularity. And that Jet Inspired interior had no peer.
