The only engines available in T-Bird in '62 were a Z-code 390 4bbl and the M-code 390 3X2bbl.
I want to apologize for my post about the vinyl top and Landau availability in 62, I was wrong saying it was not available till 63.

In 1962, the only engine available in Thunderbird was the 390, the only option was the M code which was a 390 tri-power engine, which was very rare,,,

Actually, if you knew the right person, you could get the Highway Patrol version of the 390. It used a different Carb from the standard 390. The HP 390 had 345 horsepower vs the 375 of the Tri-power version. My Dad met Lee Iacoca when he was an up and coming executive and through him got the Highway Patrol 390 in his T-Bird. Years latter when the carb had to be replaced it was replaced with a stock 390 carb and the power drop was big,.. it ran fine, but just didn't have the power it had before.
Vinyl Tops were not available till 63 on the Landau which had the S bar on the top with simulated walnut trim in the interior.

There was only one engine offered in '62. A 390 with either a 4 barrel carburator or 3 two barrel carbs. The 352 was never an option in any Thunderbird.

A 352 was offered from 1958 through 1960.

Fender shields were optional equipment - maybe this car didn't have them

One thing you'd better know: the '62 T-Bird weighs as much as a Ford sedan. Think about that.
