Back in 1986, I could've bought a 63 Chevy wagon, white with a red interior ( my favorite combo ), 283, 2 bl, 3 SPD, for $350. I passed only because I dislike a 3-on-the-tree. Wish I had that car now. Ended up getting a 64 Dart 4 Dr, white, red gut, with a 273 and pushbutton auto, at auction for 100 bucks! Those were the days, Trav.

My two cents, the drivers fender pushed back. So remove the drivers headlight, install a square tube and use a come along to pull the drivers side of the radiator support forward with the fender attached till it lines up with the hood, while adjusting the drivers side slots on the hood hinge back. Whenever moving fenders make sure the doors keep their gap so you don't curl the door or fender in when opening the door.

Man-o-man Travis that's a beautiful wagon. I wanted to give you the heads up there's a KZread channel called what the rust and he shot a video at a auto parts store in Kentucky that has closed down quite a while ago but they found the whole thing full of brand new parts as they would say New Old Stock. Mostly for older vehicles like this stuff you're dealing with but all vehicles back even Studebakers and Hudson anyhow if you watch the video he gives the man's name and phone number to get ahold of him to buy whatever you need. Maybe there's something there you need they have literally hundreds of thousands of parts available. Anyhow keep doing what you doing I hope to God one day I get to go out that way and visit you and your dad I believe it would be something worthwhile doing!

Friend of mine who was a factory trained mechanic used a castor and camber gauge like the one you have. He did all kinds of general repair when he opened up his own shop and he aligned front ends all of the time. Me thinks that the front end on that car has been off and it could be crooked. A body man I knew would point out that by just sighting the fenders one can tell if they are not in line with the rest of the car body and of course the radiator support where it attaches to the frame can be adjusted. Those hood adjustments can get tricky and along with wear in the hinges it can be hard to get them right. Same would apply to door alignment. I have seen people trying to adjust doors when the real culprit would be worn out door hinges as an example. It appears that the car has been lowered as I seem to remember cars in the sixties sitting a little higher in ground clearance. This looks like another "Dad" paint job in the works.

Since they had the body off the frame, maybe when they put it back on, they didn't get it on straight. It appears to me that is the problem. The hood is fitting correctly but the whole body and front fenders are askew. That's why the right fender is so far forward and the left fender is back or in alignment. I think the body bolts need to be loosened and the body twisted to move it into alignment. Just my surmising.
