    That is the life of owning a sprite, every trailer, ramp and lift is right on the edge of too narrow. I've been told by U haul that I couldn't tow my sprite as it was too narrow for their trailer.

    I have a set of those ratcheting open-ended wrenches made by Craftsman. Received them as an X-mas gift back in the 90s.

    I found some of them at our local Sears store when it was liquidating a few years ago branded Craftsman Industrial; the shipping boxes seemed to indicate they were made by Danaher Tool Group and were made in USA.

    Ah Ha, so that's where those rectangular rubber plugs go. Knew they were for floorboard, but didn't realize they were British. Got into the misc. box, glad i didn't throw them away. I do like the white Sprite. Thank you for the video Steve.

    I like the way you explain things, without boring the listener to death with long drawn out unnecessary details for everything. I watched with bated breath as the driver's side rear wheel came, what looked like, dangerously close to the inner edge.................................phew! Anyway, "well done."

    Great to see some night time driving! Plus you make it look so easy Steve!! I spent a day on my AHS Mark 4 yesterday and still could not get her started after being laid up for 12 months.

    Love your videos!!! Just the right amount of detail and fast forwarding through tedious bits. As a life long fan of LBCs I've owned Triumphs and now a 69' MGB GT as well as a 69' 1275 Midget. Your videos make owning and maintaining these wonderful classics that much easier. Keep them coming ..they're awesome.

    I just bought my grandpas 67 Austin Healey sprite roadster it hasn’t ran in over 30 years I hope to get it restored .

    Hey man, it's great to see you giving our old British cars a new lease of life! These cars look small today even on UK roads so I guess they must look tiny compared to your US vehicles!

    Thanks for sharing. If you are going to be working on the brakes you could consider a front disc conversion from a later BL vehicle. It might offend the purist but not as much as a crunched bonnet would.

    Steve: I dont have an austin healey sprite or midget but I have restored several antique cars. I think you should paint the parts that you replace. The master cylinder and bracket as well as the slave cylinder. This would not improve function, only the looks. Left unpainted it will rust up and look just as bad as the old one. David Adair

    Yes Steve we want to see these kinds of videos. They are educational and slightly entertaining. But if Cassie could provide a commentary as you work thru these jobs then the entertainment factor would go up exponentially.

    the wheels weren't far enough apart on my '61 mga to fit properly on a '60's era gas station's oil changing lift (i worked at one for a year or so back then). one side always rode up on the ledge.

    Good thinking, opening the garage door before testing the brakes. That way, if they don't you can just roll to a stop in the yard, rather than picking the car out of the door. :-)*

    i was wondering if the rear tire was going to ride off the lift as you were backing in. what about a sharpie line at the width of a tire down the rail to show you where you are? might save some grief in the future.

    Did you customize a wrench to get to those pipe bolts or did you buy one? I think you had an example once upon a time of a wrench you bent to reach those bolts?

    The ones on the master cylinder? No a regular open end wrench will get to them no problem.

    @@ThisWeekWithCars do you recall the proper wrench size for these fittings? One loosened without a problem using an 11mm, but the other is stuck and has rounded out a bit in the past - would like to get the right size on this one to avoid destroying it.

    you need to paint a stripe down teh center of those lift rails- help you center the cars - i hold my breath every time you back on there with a small car because i think you're gonna miss the ramp.
