My friend had a Cresta, same body. Don't remember the engine. But, when I got in, I didn't get in like you did. And hit my hip in that window bend. A beautiful car, but my friend wanted some American car, so he swapped the Vauxhall.

I remember them in Scotland when I was small in the 1970s they all rusted away with our salted roads in winter & wet climate but still I recall them mainly during scrap yard explorations.

Yes, that was the problem in Norway too. Very sad, they were beautiful cars, with amazing engines. But when the body rusted away under you, it was impossible to keep'em.

Fantastic review of fantastic car! You are right, the lip (in chrome) on the front edge of the bonnet lid perfectly frames the nice fog lights! Actually the Queen had a Velox, a Farnham Estate version, in Navy Green, as I call it. The royal family have a museum somewhere , where it still exists

You best check the bodywork carefully. They were real rot boxes here in the UK and had holes in the wings within two years.

no he meant the FB victor on the other side of the Velox

Horsepower on this model is more like 113 bhp. The earlier 2.2 was 0-85bhp.

Hi yes you are correct my 1959 cresta is a 2.2 litre engine
