It’s a great show!
My folks had a 61 Dodge Dart Phoenix four door sedan in white with a blue interior. It was the car I rode home from the hospital in. I always loved these cars!
Great show! Took a 61-413 put it a. 69 Road Runner. Put Hooker Headers. Put two 750 Elderbrock carbs in it. 410. Gears.
Sure was a great gathering last year in My City, Didn't get to shake your hand, but saw ya a few times at a distance. Keep 'em com'n, Dennis ATB Terry God Bless
I had never seen a 61 Dodge Pioneer !! fantastic lines and interior + the back ....wonderful
When my Grandfather died in 1967, my mom inherited his car. A 1961 Dodge Polara. Southern California car. Despite only being 6 years old, and originally purchased new by Grandpa , when he was 71, the front seat was badly worn, and shredding, the dash material was cracking, and overall looked much older than it was, and had just a little under 40.000 miles. Was a V8 car, engine ran well, but always had a propensity to overheating, despite the new radiator, thermostat etc..then the reverse button started to constantly get out of whack, so we alway tried to park it so we wouldn't have to push it backwards ! Lol. Id take it apart, put the button back in its track, be okay for a while then boom, it just fell all the way in. It certainly didnt drive well, and when it was 10 years old front end inspection showed all the bushings were cracking and falling apart. After having all that redone, a short time later mom heard a bang, and the left rear sagged. The rear LEAF SPRING, had broken, on a 10 year old car that spent its entire life in Southern California! All in all it was a pretty poor vehicle, and in 1971 mom decided despite it being her dads old car, so thier was some sentimental feeling attached to it, she was done with all the issues and money she spent, and didn't trust the car. So it was sold and i felt relief i didn't have to keep worrying about her getting stranded in it. She bought a nice used 68 Ford LTD, which was like a night and day difference! She was very pleased with it. Me too! Lol.
I love the mentioning of the 4 door T's my buddy has a 67'
I really dig that bamboo headliner.
"I'm kinda Canadian." I've been a Canadian my entire 42 years and in all honesty, you say "eh" more than just about anyone I've ever known. So yes, an honorary Canadian. ;)

Me and my brother also, born, raised and still live in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
That Thunderbird is the the very first one of those that I've ever liked. Not my color, but the general vibe clicks with me now.
Atlantic nationals is awesome a great show,
Went to this show a couple of years ago, it was packed. Too bad in 2021 Canada has closed the borders :((( The Downtoun show was very fun, plenty of road trips. Highly recommended when we can go. Thanks Dennis.
That 68 T bird had only the best cabin materials, even the top was superb quality, if you see one today except for maybe the edges , perfect.
Great show great channel:D
1961 Dodge Dart Pioneer, the greatest design of all time...even though The Ramchargers did not share that opinion....
Dennis is a consummate proffesional
About time we see the Torino, and it would've been nice to see a Mercury Cyclone too.....

Thanks for the kind words! Truly appreciated!!
Great video, too short,thanks.
that Capri straight out of Back to the Future, Biff could be driving that....
Hard to believe from those tiny valve covers but the MOPAR poly is where Chevy got the BBC head concept from. The Poly, BBC and Cleveland heads are all canted valve heads aka . The MOPAR design was specifically targeting torque where the Chevy and Ford heads targeted HP, but they are no slouches in torque production either. Those long runners on the Volvo were likely chasing torque too.
The Volvo was really great to see
I grew up in Moncton, always loving cars, but moved to Ontario in late 1998. And what do they do? Start a MASSIVE car show in town a couple of years after I left. :p
Around the corner from me a guy has a 60's Thunderbird 4 door with the suicide doors. It need some TLC but I've seen him an complimented him on having a classic.

Nice - you should do a video about yours. I'll search your channel so see if you haven't already uploaded it.
07:57 I had this year/model in a convertable. White with a red interior. It actully wasn't a bad car. I was a teenager at the time (late 60's), growing up in the midwest where we have a lot of pheasants. I hit one that flew in front of me while I was doing about 70 mph... It pocketed itself into the soft aluminum grill like a ball going into a baseball mit. I pushed the grill back out the best I could, but it was never quite the same. (I mean the grill... not the bird. Ha!)
Oh, that '55 Lincoln Capri! No, wait. The Dodge Pioneer! Even better, the '68 TBird.
A bit of trivia: The opening aerial shot of the t.v. series "Highway Patrol" w/ Broderick Crawford has the helicopter following a 1955 Lincoln. Check it out!
most people think 2 barrel carb gets better gas mileage, but in reality, the first 2 barrel of 4 barrel carb are smaller than 2 barrel so if you don't push 4 barrel car car it get gets better gas mileage ,but when you need power, you get plenty
I love USA cars and trucks.👍🇺🇸
I owned one for 3 or 4 years.
You guys should come check out the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. HUGE show and vintage car race!

My late grandfather owned a similar 1961 Dodge Pioneer 2 door hardtop with the 318 Poly engine and Torqueflite push button transmission. It got stolen in 1967 and he passed away before the NYPD found the car. We sold it off...I liked his previous car, a 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer hardtop, much better as it was a nicer looking car.
0:28 Uh, Steve Plunkett, host of the Fleetwood Country Cruise-In at London, Ontario Canada would beg to differ. They've had over 5,000 vehicles show up at their annual events in June. Fortunately, My Classic Car TV got to visit the show one year before it was discontinued after 2019.
Fist yr of the Torino body was 69 Falcon
Shooting Brake !
hey ole buddy they made a lot of MoPars that are way more collectable than any GM or Ford just check out any actions in the last 30 years
The 1961 Pioneer was a totally different body style than the 1960 model, not just the hood louvers. BTW the white sidewalls were not that wide in 1961.
Funny how he pronounces it " Mon" in Canada we pronounce it " Muncton" no big deal...Canadians pronounce Oregon different. Cool episode.
Lincoln had a two chamber master cylinder. Dennis should have asked about it.
Hey? I didn't know they had cars in New Brunswick? (Sorry - Ontario joke)
That scamp is my dads
dodge dart phoenix
61 one yr only . Same back window as 60
Stewart Reed has a gold Volvo like that. Called "Woman's sportscar
That's a Volvo 1800 ES and not P1800 ES (no more P from 1970). I had the same car from 1973 to 1977 (still have a photo of that car). I also had a P1800 1968 from 1969 to 1972. At the Volvo dealer, my nickname was Templar..
8:25 Plain Jane? This thing?

bout dam time! lol! The Torinos of any year never ever really got any love or attention. Maybe the 76 Starsky and Hutch, but other than that....Also, the Torinos never even commanded any real money from the auctions.
Nitpick time. No such thing as a "p" 1800 es. The "p" designation was for 1800's assembled by Jensen ... in England. They didn't do the es's.
I caught a nap during the Volvo feature.
