The Claeys M103 was the first tanker combine my grandfather had when he farmed at Clifton Hampden, Oxon. Was tenant there from 1918 to 1972 when the passed away. Were we impressed with the machine! Corn went into pit, up to a cleaner and then bagged in corn sacks which were collected by grain merchants from Abingdon. Brings a lump to my throat!
Great video!!! Keep these old machines coming!!
Debt free farming with older machines. Note the arm strong steering had kept you fit as I'd personally had logged up many hours on much the same combine in much rougher conditions.
Destijds veel tijd op een identieke combine doorgebracht van mijn familie De Rooij. Mooi geluid, 6 cilinder Ford meen ik mij te herinneren.
love it to see the old machinese still work
That combine is older than dirt. Remarkable it still runs. Good looking wheat to boot.
That's the size of combine I grew up with in Idaho. We thought we had it made when we bought our Case that had a cab. Still drove with the door open though, no a.c.
It looked like the combine was working well except for the steering. :) Might need some ball joints after decades of use because I'm sure there is no power steering. Thanks for sharing these old combines for the last two days.
And another 100 years will work :)
Very nice. Must take a very dedicated mechanic to keep this machine in good operating condition. I really like to see vintage machines doing real farming.
Mooie video hoor!
Going back to the future! These smaller machines will be making a big come back in the future, as the big agro conglomerates will be forced to downsize or go out of business. The very large farms will become smaller operations, where these machines will come back into their own. It is the wave of the future for farming.
Mooie video. Ik heb recentelijk nog een Clayson M140 op film gezet, en had misschien net als de bestuurder van deze machine ook beter een stofkapje op kunnen zetten, had na het filmen 3 dagen last van geïrriteerde luchtwegen haha.
Niiice video!
I think that is the first harvester I've seen that had grain conveyors instead of augers. Is that very common?
Super :)
prachtig , draait nog zeer goed
Wow, I have no idea how you'd even find parts for that.
Very nice
