I use to see the C-141 Starlifter and F-105 Thunderchief on Yokota flight line all the time. I'm guessing the Navy aircraft photos are from Atsugi NAS. I lived in Japan from 1960-1964 and again from 1966-1969 as dependent when my father was stationed there. I use to see the C-124 Globemaster II and C-130 Hercules at Tachikawa AB. Some of the planes in this video have the old MATS(Military Air Transport Services) on them and during the mid to late 60s the changed to MAC(Military Airlift Command).

Good memories for me. I was working in the control tower at Yokota AB from 1961 - 1966 and again from 1968 - 1971.

I had visited the control tower and Base Operetion, Rapcon at Yokota AB 20 years ago. Ware you air traffic controller?

KZYSGWR Yes I was an Air Traffic Controller in both the Control Tower and the RAPCON at Yokota. I was a watch supervisor during my second tour from 1968 to 1971. I loved the job and the local area. My wife, who is Japanese, loved it there also.
