Thank you so so much, it's been SO hard to find a 60s mod tutorial for someone with a naturally very heavy/padded eyelid. I don't do makeup regularly but I love it as a creative thing to do, and it's been very tricky to get this right.

The older I got the more I thought, I was just awful at makeup… Despite how much I loved it… no matter how closely I followed these ‘steps’ It NEVER looked the same on me (My main issues being eyeshadow & contour.) I would always get judged …. & despite seeking guidance, even the girls at Sephora would just laugh & make me feel even more inferior… even when I tried to ask for their help… they would do the same technique & just say “ur face is just WEIRD”… I’m NOT even joking. It got to the point I just, gave up… I didn’t even KNOW what hooded eyes were… let alone that I had them…. I didn’t KNOW that ur contour should be SPECIFIC To ur face shape… All things that may seem like ‘common knowledge’ but… if u grew up w/no one to teach u… how the hell would u know?? Thanks to videos like this/channels like yours…. Im learning “oh…. Ur not terrible… u just needed to find what works for you/and ur face…” or “u just have to tweak it” The best part being… im falling back in love w/makeup again, the way I did when I was younger… Where I didn’t see specific standards I had to emulate & instead just looked at products w/ wonder & possibilities. I feel like a simple thank you… doesnt even begin to cover it.. ♥️🙏🏻♥️ but, from the bottom of my heart…. Thank you😊
