I had a MIM butterscotch Telecaster, paid $300 bucks for it, it was one of those, “IT” guitars, foolishly I sold it. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m 61 and have had dozens of guitars… still do.. only a few have had that wow factor. So hold onto the ones that do 🙂

Please record an album of music like that! The world needs it bad. The camera cannot get anywhere close to capturing the sound of the bass. I played one is a shop just a week ago and that bass response was so deep you just have to feel it. It was almost like a pure synth sine wave or the pedal tones of an organ. REALLY cool! Tuned in to see this because I found a good one for sale in my area and trying to decide.

Bravo, dos Robertos! I love this bass. One of my bestest friends has a ‘56 blonde that she lent me for a gig & the baritone switch is amazing. I have done enough research to know that these blondes are very rare. Of course, I had to know about Norm’s ‘59 Blonde eb-2. Per the vid description, I called the shop. I asked about the bass & the guy hands the phone to Norm. So cool to get to pick Norms brain We all appreciate the information & education you guys are providing with this channel. Hope to visit the store soon.

I have never been a fan of Gibson bases. And this one did not change my mind. They all sound like they're being muffled by a pillow. However. That's just me. Just because I prefer the piano based sound doesn't mean every. One has to. That's why there are lots of different flavors of ice cream. If you're into this sound, there is no better instrument you could buy than this one.

Bob Lang bassist with Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders played a blonde Epiphone Rivoli (virtually identical to the EB-2). Rivoli basses seemed easier to obtain in Britain than EB-2s and were very popular with the 60s bands, Apart from Bob Lang, the Rivoli was favoured by Chas Chandler (Animals), Paul Samwell-Smith, (the Yardbirds), Les Chadwick (Gerry & the Pacemakers), Ronnie Lane (the Small Faces) and many others. While sunburst was the more popular finish, Scott Walker used a blonde Rivoli with the Walker Brothers and so did Andy Fraser with Free. The Gibson EB-2 meanwhile was seldom seen in Britain back then.

I’m sorry but I think I just witnessed a glitch in the matrix I’m sitting here learning that first song on guitar by watching him I’ve been skipping over the first part of the song like first 20 seconds and it changed I legit watched the video play the one part of the song I was up to I was like ok tried to figure it out kinda did then I said ok run it back skipped to the part where he starts playing I get up to the part I’m like ok what is it and it’s not there it’s different he does a solo frill thing instead of this triad thing I was just trying to do so wtf
