Our family had one back in late 60's. Good runner, in light blue. Help dad with maintenance, you know- honking horn while he was tuning under hood. Suspension gave out (A- arns) towed to scrap. Miss that car, good running till above.. those old Buicks still catch my eyes of good memories.

Too bad... It would have been DIRT CHEAP to replace those A Arms back then... I'd bet one could have had the entire front end rebuilt with NEW over the counter parts from a Buick dealership, and even had their Service Department do the job, for less than $150 !!!

I had one of these back in the mid 80's. Mine was black with a white top and red and black interior.Had fender skirts on it too. I had to sell it because of a divorce. A guy in Atlanta, Georgia bought it.

Amazing car and color combination. There are 160 of those beautiful chrome nodules in the grill. Very nice. I love those hardtop wagons. Even Mercury got in the game. Merc's had a 2 door hardtop wagon for the years - '57 & 58 - Commuter and Voyager but not in the Colony Park. Rather attractive.

Spectacular car. Buick still has the most chrome on any vehicles made. This is beautiful from any angle 👍

You'd have to get out a tape measure and compare to the comparable 1958 Oldsmobile Super 88 Fiesta station wagon to be sure. i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/vzkAAOSwvzRXw24C/$_1.JPG?set_id=880000500F

Color looks period correct unlike many "restorations" that are over saturated to the point where they are almost fluorescent

Love 58's. GM cars were especially attractive. They were considered overdone at the time, but look what most modern styling has resulted in!

Just what any up and coming executive's wife would have loved to have driven back in 1958 to drop the kids at a private school and then off to her favorite store to pick out a new dress for Saturday's dinner party.

My father bought one of these used, in about 1967. In about 1971 , someone hit the car in the front left fender. That's where the vacuum pump tank was for the brakes. Insurance totalled it. For years it sat on top of a pile of other cars at the local junkyard. We'd see it there everytime we passed by.

That looks identical to the one I operated in the early '60s. (My dad owned it, but I folded the back seat down while I had it a collage..) "Body by Fisher" if I recall. Fine road cars, and pretty peppy with the triple turbine transmission. Tolerances on the body panels were sloppy, as per all US cars of the period. Those front bumpers and grill were amazingly complicated and heavy.

Too bad it won't float.....would make a great boat................🙄. All the GM cars in 58 had excessive chrome and then completely new styling for 59. GM spent millions redesigning the cars. Makes the 1958 models very unique.....if you like that style. I wonder what the front and rear bumpers and tail lights weigh on the 58 Buick?

What's odd is 57 And 58 Cadillac's looked similar, but 57 and 58 Buick, Chevy, Pontiac and Oldsmobile were very different. I think the new federal law that allowed quad front lights for 1958 models changed everything.

Yes, usually GM used the same body for two years but very remarkable changes were made to make each of the two years distinctly different, unlike today where I can't tell model years anymore. It was a highlight of the year when September came and the new model year cars came out. Miss those days but atleast car designs are getting attractive again.
