You actually have to watch this video twice. First time to read translation and understand the story, and second to just watch and enjoy the footage itself. Thank you

This video is a masterpiece ! Bring together the emotion of inter-generational transmission and the passion for mechanics moved me deeply. Thank you for this moment of pure simplicity. Cheers from France
That intro made me a bit emotional. *About a scooter.* God damnit Petrolicious.

+Maxence Massaro.....I have watched many of the Petrolicious videos and generally love them all. But I honestly believe that your video is the most stunning and beautiful I have ever watched. It combines a poignantly told story about a lovely 1957 Lambretta and how it is inextricably intertwined with a French family's lives - right up to today and a young very much in love couple. Merci.

Hands down........the nicest Petrolicious story you've ever produced. A huge pat on the back to all involved. Needless to say.......I absolutely loved it.
Beautiful postcard of Europe and it's legacy.. Calm and nice, the way we want life to be........
Maxime Delestre has been featured in Petrolicious twice - once with a 1957 Austin Mini and now with this. Maxime Delestre is a pretty cool kid.
One of the best video's ive seen on KZread .. I don't think there are any vehicles with more emotion and character than old Italian scooters.
Petrolicious's videos just keep getting better and better
My father has a friend who restores Vespas and Lambrettas from the early 50s. Such a beautiful machines. They certenly have soul.

My grandfather got it as a gift for his marriage in 50's in India. Which was a huge deal( like getting a Mercedes in today's standards)
Beautiful. It tells a nice story of honor, youth age, adventure and love.

What a great story!
a lovely story. i had one of these when i was a schoolboy. i bought it for £3 from another boy in an older year at school. it had no side panels and was used to ride around the fields of a friends dads small farm. in those days these old scooters and motorbikes were easy and cheap to obtain. i am talking early 1960s. i am now 73 and still enjoy anything with 2 wheels . i am in the u k . another memory is of a friend who had a new Lambretta in 1962 an L I 125 brand new.he let me have a short ride on it up the lane and really smooth to ride.
Brilliant !...what I love most about this channel apart the beautiful editing of the videos is that it's not always about vehicles worth hundred of thousands or millions ! The features are from all walks of life !
Beautiful story and wonderful cinematography! Belle histoire et belle cinématographie.
Wow what a beautiful story I confess I got a little choked up. And Maxmie Marry that girl.
Beautiful cinematography as always!

"We" are just as sentimental in America over our 'family heirloom' vehicles...there must be many, many thousands of families here who treasure 'an old relic' especially old scooters! (it's funny how so many people here are 'scooter fanatics' considering America is the 'Home of Power and Speed' ) Personally, I will never part from my immaculate '08 Honda "Metropolitan" in gloss-back & grey, and at almost 64 myself I intend for my 'scoot' to remain in my 'adopted family' for generations to come.
I think that this is been the best episode of your channel. After so many great cars this Lambretta beat all of them without problem. This is the real sense of loving classic cars or classic bikes, this is more then a passion, more then a hobby...so many people think that this is just a waste of money. They would never understand Congratulations #petrolicious
I’m working on my late grandfather’s Lambretta series 1 right now! Was in storage for over 50 years.
well done, petrolicious. i love that sometimes you combine motoring with relationship, but this one was especially touching. again, well done!

I would argue that all motoring is about a relationship. Sometimes it's with another person, others it's about the vehicle, but there's always a connection made.
Raymond looks pretty great for 92
The fresh unsophisticated beauty of early motoring + the fresh unsophisticated beauty of youth. Beautiful emotional photography, i enjoyed this video very much.
that is a love story! you can see it in the eyes of everyone in the video. beautiful story. beautiful people. beautiful scooter. beautiful cinematography. beautifully produced. bravo, petrolicious!
One of the best Petrolicious videos in a while. Truly well done.
I've had a Lambretta, Vespa, Piaggio even an Innocenti automobile but never did it go 225 miles without breaking down. I may not have been able to take it on road trips but it was fun when it did run smoothly. And I may not have had a beautiful Italian model on the back riding with me but I can say it was definitely a chick magnet. Great job again petrolicious! Way to mix it up!

i love how petrolicious made beautiful documentaries with great cinematography and color tones
What a great story. A beautifully restored Lambretta links a young and beautiful couple to an old, and still beautiful, couple. You made a short film out of it, a fantastic location in France, perfect colors.....
Beautiful little movie!!!
I think that this is the best video I have seen at this channel. Truly it is exceptional. The camera work, the structure, so good. Also the storyteller is first class as well. Superb!
Wunderschön. Meine Lambretta ist vor kurzen fertig geworden. Tüv hat sie bekommen und ich warte nur noch auf den Termin um sie anzumelden. Freu mich schon so.
Beautiful cinematography! Finding a lost love is always a great story.
As always your best films are the ones that show a great history like this one. This is exactly what i dream of, that my kids will remember about me and my and someday their cars. Smiling alll the way thru the film and still am. Thanks petrolicious
Insane cinematography
Great story telling. The old guy looks good for his age! Great production.
Nice story and great video quality as usual.
As always, a fantastic little video which pulls at the heartstrings. Well done Petrolicious.
Special one! Always great stories around beautiful machines!
A lovely story. Thanks for sharing.
Damn @petrolicious you did hit the spot in our hearts again, so beautiful ❤
Bravo !!!! Une très belle video pleine d'émotion. Merci.
I am simply mesmerized.
It's wonderful to see how Petrolicios develops it's own art of filming full of emotion and beauty - so well done. Go on!
what a great story and machine.
Once again, absolutely brilliant.
It's the passion between the man and the machine.
great story and cinematographic !!
Fall in love by Lambreta.. is nice ..💌🎶
In the 1970s my paternal grandparents bought a Lambretta from an Italian embassy employee who was going home, having served in Warsaw for several years. According to family stories my grandparents took the little scooter on several trips, including one to the seaside, several hundred kilometres away. I never found out what happened to the little scooter, I imagine it must've ended up parted out or scrapped - getting parts for Western vehicles wasn't easy in communist Poland. I now live across the street from the Italian embassy in Warsaw. Perhaps I should ask around if they have any Lambrettas for sale. Thank you Petrolicious, you're the only people that can give me tears of joy with a video about a humble scooter. Good luck Maxime!
Guy looks great for 92!
The quality of videography and post-production at Petrolicious never ceases to amaze me - they HAD to go to school for this. That is isn't always cars is an awesome thing too - anything motorized can illicit a passionate reaction from an enthusiast =)
Great video, I own a 1956 French Ld125 which makes me smile whenever I take it out for a ride
Die lambretta ist so schön 😍
what an amazing story, perfectly shot ! It´s because of content like this why I love this channel
I had a Lambretta scooter in college in 1965-6. On the U. of Oklahoma it caused a stir for sure, since all the Fret boys had muscle cars. The Lambretta wasn't a chick magnet either, but it got me where I needed to go. Nice memories.
As is so often the case with Petrolicious, the machines are almost always fascinating, but ultimately it's about the people. And, wow, y'all really nailed it here.
Beautiful....fall short of words to describe the videos in this channel..... Lovely.... subscribing to this channel...
Superb video, thanks for sharing.
Awesome story and a awesome way to deliver it. Well done..!👍🏾

This is why I bought my 1973 vespa when I was 14, built it up and it's almost ready to ride now, I'm 16 now.
Just perfect.

Romance story about an old scooter that makes man cry.
Lovely
Une bien belle Histoire . J 'adore !
I wish I knew French. but I understand the universal language of love; love for people, and most of all, love of machines. I rode Vespas and Bajajs for 25 years. On the odd occasion I rode Lambrettas, I was impressed with their precise handling even under wheel-lock braking. This video is one of the best I have seen for it not only tells a story but evokes one's sweetest memories. I thank you, and I wish you well, my friend.
