Christine Brought Me Here
Very interesting that this is an "uncharted" b-side because I remember it being played many times over the years on our New York City oldies station back in the 80's and 90's, and it still is played often these days on Satellite radio. I even remember it being included in several movie soundtracks, including the movie "Christine". I would have thought it was a HUGE hit song in the 50's...but apparently not!

The a side "Oh Boy" became a big hit. I guess only after it did people noticed this song's hit worthy too
Christine movie song 🎵 ❤ love it!
The first tune to be played on Christine's radio, & still playing when she claimed her first fatality.
Remembering Niki Sullivan born on June 23, 1937. He was an American rock and roll guitar player. He was one of the three original members of Buddy Holly's backing band, the Crickets. Though he lost interest within a few months of his involvement, his guitar playing was an integral part of Holly's early success. He performed on 27 of the 32 songs Holly and The Crickets recorded over his brief career. He co-wrote a number of his own songs. In 2012, Sullivan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Crickets by a special committee, aimed at correcting the mistake of not including the Crickets with Buddy Holly when he was first inducted in 1986. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niki_Sullivan
One of only a few songs where The Crickets themselves provided backing vocals. Not long after this, Norman Petty started using The Picks (and others) to accompany Buddy on vocals, though The Crickets still played on the records.
Good record. The Crickets did write the words but it's the Bo Diddley style that makes this record. The Stones' cover was closer to the raw Bo Diddley sound though.. Bo covered it too. It's on U Tube..
*pops hood on 58 Plymouth* *looks underneath car to make sure she's assembled properly* *puts hand on grille as he does the above* *hood closes by itself* ¡MIERDA! ¡Mi mano! ¡Maldito coche estúpido!
