Nice truck im only 34 years old but i like old stuff i have a 55 chevy pick up short bed with a big window side steps and a 36 olds im trying to get rid of them cuz i want to buy something different old but different. I guess the only comparable option would have been a Coyote crate motor. I think they are 7000. bucks. Why do that when you can get a used LS3 and rebuild it for 4k less? It is also less complicated and it makes more power. If you wanted to turbo the car, there is no better motor to do that with than the LS. It is really the only option, unless money isn't.

You are right. If they want to drive it on the street, by law it has to have a left-hand mirror. It looks like they need to run down to Autozone and pick one up.
