Great video. I have a 1954 Dodge Fargo 1/2 ton that I am restoring. My Dad had a 1949 Fargo. That is why I bought the Fargo. I think of my Dad a lot when working on the truck. It is a labour of love for sure.

The first Dodge 241 v8 was a hemi in 1953, but it only made 140 hp. The polyspherical head was a cost savings change. That's a cool truck that I don't often see anymore!

While not totally stock this one is so close! It is GREAT to see an old classic like this restored to what it once was, or close, and not chopped up, Mexicanized and hot rodded. There's so much JUNK on the road today vehicles like this are just heart stopping to see.

Im in highschool and i drive a 54 dodge 1 ton long bed with the original 241 v8 hemi and finding parts for this truck is hard since its all custom from the factory

Well i wanted anything from the 60s at first mainly the 1960 ford f100 but i got such a deal on the dodge only 6000 and it was fully running with new gas tank and exhaust all i had to do was the brakes

When I was a kid my dad had a 54 with the V-8 & 4 speed but it was a long bed 5 window. He dropped a 318 in it and it ran great. Super review.

Its a great looking truck. What we liked most is that you don't see many of them at Car Shows. I love the styling of these 50's trucks

I ever repaired the Dodge as like as you, and we added 4wd into that car. The 4wd we made it by self. We combined the transfercase by CJ7 jeep also. We just had a body and chassis only, so we use Daihatsu Truck engine and vehicle registration also, because that was importand ind in my country so much. And now we enjoy our job, because it works..

He said it didn't have power steering when he first bought it. Does anybody know if he converted to power steering and if so, does anybody know how he did it. I'm trying to add power steering to my 1955 Dodge C3 truck.

He did add power steering. I think it was something he picked up from a newer MOPAR from a salvage yard and did some garage engineering to make it work. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching

Check the front door post on the front doors for another plate. Can be stamped in frame right above front axle when you look in from diverts side front tire
