Well said sir.I am nearly 67 years old.Thank God I had the luck of seeing many of these classic cars still on the road into the mid 1960s.My dad drove around in a lime green 1954 Ford until 1965.My mother learned about cars in her Native Louisiana by the time she could walk.She had a weakness for baby blue.

Stunning example of rolling art! I hope who ever purchases it has any and all flaws fixed and repaired and keeps it in an controlled environment for posterity.

OMG...I'm about to faint! My father owned a '53 ElDorado around 1958 - 1960. Because of that I have a love for classic Cadillacs.

WOW! What a beauty. This is what cars is supposed to look like. Not what is on the roadways today=pure crap. 55 Caddys were the Cat's Meow as they used to say. Perfect color too. Just gorgeous. Those Geraldines on the wire wheels are awesome also.

My '55 Coupe de Ville was Robin's Egg Blue with White top and blue interior. Everything worked including the Autronic Eye, Delco signal seeking radio and power antenna. They are stately and elegant.

What a beauty‼️ any person who appreciates the classics would love to have this one parked in the garage.

That's a beauty. I grew up in Daddy's 1957 Sedan Deville. I like the 57 fins better UT this has a lot of interesting lines too.

worth every dollar! not a daily driver. you need a place to safely store and care for a car like this. i can afford to buy it, but there is no place to care for it properly. thanks for sharing. i love this car!!

My Dad had a few caddy's,61 convertible,71 sedan DeVille triple white,all black 1988 caddy brougham!

The 55 Caddy was one of the classiest ever.

He keeps calling this "a nice car." What an understatement -- my tongue is hanging out just looking at it. Maybe that's just because I love Caddys especially from that era. Can't believe it can go for only thirty-five grand.

i had a 55' for 43 years, bought it for $75.00 back in 1979. sold it to a guy in Sweden. Was a fun car, BIG HAPPY :)

My grandparents had silver blue one in 1955. He would rive my brother and I to our Fishing cabin Largo Largo for the weekend.

Air Conditioning was a very rare option in 1955 even on a Cadillac. Not having A/C can be forgiven. Now if it were a 1965 that would. be a completely different story.

@@craigjorgensen4637 I don't believe factory air conditioning became an option on GM vehicles until one year later in 1956. I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong.

Not an, "Autotronic Eye", but Autronic Eye. Also when at rest, that vintage Cadillac should be placed in reverse, not neutral. Reverse has a lock that acts like Park when stationary.

Today you can get cars with plastic bumpers! And plastic intake manifolds!

Omg. Those plastic seat covers, I've not seen them since on my Dads 65 Olds.

This might make some folks cringe, but, if I bought that it would be my daily driver. Lol. I'd drive it until the wheels fell off. How could you not?

Cars are made to be driven, not "collected" or to become static displays. No wonder so few new people get into a hobby when people never show the items! I ride all classic era motorcycles and I mean I RIDE them. People get to see what the 60's, 70's and 80's looked like. And I can't recall when the last time was I saw one of these beauties on wheels on the street. Why? Where are they? Gararged?

Not absolutely positive but I believe the only "options" for this car would have been AC and the AUtronic eye, wire wheels and the floor button to change radio stations. Everything else would have been standard like almost all of the other 55 Devilles. Signal seeking radio may have been an option?

What about the lower part of the car? No view upskirt? Trunk? If there is rust, how should this be evaluated correctly by the viewer? Would it pass a hard technical inspection like the german DEKRA?

The "electric eye" on the dashboard top is NOT "autotronic". It is "autronic" pronounced awe-tronic. (Same with the llight-blue 55 Sedan.)

Yup point proving I was definitely born in the wrong era . Imagine the King walking in 7 deep and saying Yes sir I need 7 of these to go with my 7 Harley Davidson's 1 for every day of the week .

My father had a 1956 Coupe Deville which was almost identical to this car. As I recall the only difference was the rear bumper and the shape of the exhaust outlets which were oval instead of round. That car was a true boat on wheels. I would hate to drive it today with today's gas prices.
