1954 Studebaker Restomod

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

As a retirement gift to themselves, Karen Hoffman and Vince Gogolek restored this 1954 Studebaker Champion. To bring their vision to reality, Karen and Vince turned to Jellybean AutoCrafters to do a complete restomod of this beautiful classic car. The car has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, replacing old technology with modern mechanics, features and conveniences. Vince & Karen share their story and give a walk-around tour of the car before taking it for a ride.

My dad bought a 54 new, he continued to keep that car until 1965 even after buyer new carsin between that time period. He was always going to restored the car but was his life long habit he never finished it . One of the things I learned not to do. I learned early if I started something finish it, even if I got a better Idea I still finish what I started. I reme.er coming home from college and seeing the garage and seeing all the unfinished projects y dad had started, that left an impression on me.

This is a very well done video Bruce. It really encompasses what the clients wanted and how they brought that into reality. This Studebaker was another great build for us as it is our passion to provide the services and expertise to build vehicles like this for discerning clients. Thank you for presenting the car well and showing the passion Karen and Vince have for the car. The driving shots are a great touch to the video as well. Thank you

Love the look of this car. I own a 1957 Studebaker GH. After 40 years of custom cars, I wish the trend would change to putting as much creativity into the original power plants like what has been done to the chassis, and body. Would love to see original engine with turbos, superchargers, F.I., rather than a transplant. It would be so much more interesting. Modern brakes, transmission, steering, etc. allowed!

That is one of the rare examples of a car where I feel the post is better looking than the hardtop. I have always liked the design of the early ones before they bolted on fins. A fine example of taking a beautiful car and making better, great in every way no wonder it won first in show.

I never liked as much as the 53 Commander V8 I learned to drive on. Dad even helped me make it Kool. Floor shift, dual glass packs, 3" lowering blocks, full 'Moon hub caps and of course....Black dice hanging from the RV mirror. I still have those Dice, just wish we still had the Commander.

We used a 67 - 69 Camaro front clip. It has the right track width for the car and provides room for the LS swap as well. We used Speedtech suspension all around, including their 3 link torque arm in the rear, so it drives an handles at least as good as it looks.
