I had a Mk1 1955 Zodiac convertible with the power hood, great cars.

That's very interesting. Do you have any information such as its chassis number? A photo would be very interesting to see. The fact that there ever was a Zodiac convertible has been questioned by some people.

Beautiful old classic fitted with a performance killing exhaust manifold from the factory. Otherwise a beautiful old motorcar. PS. The driver appears to be riding the clutch pedal...that's a bad habit unless you like to frequently replace thrust bearings!

Yes the exhaust was a problem. I fitted a jeff howe 6 branch twin pipe straight through system to my mk3 zodiac. What a difference and sounded awesome.

Some interesting mods - I assume they are mods, at least they are different from the standard Zephyr saloon. at 0:14 top left, is that a brake servo where the heater is normally situated? And two water pipes pass through the bulhead - has the car been fitted with a heater inside the passenger compartment? At 1:13 what's going on with the battery cables leading to a switch or something on the bulkhead? Added later: OK I get it. It's a convertible and the electric hood uses starter motors - hence the fat cables running to the passenger compartment.
