Same here. I like how he treats his viewers as a common sense 🤨type. Rather than the tic toc inept. 😮 😄🤣🤣🤣😅
This man is living the dream. A good place to work, fun projects, being left the heck alone. And great sense of humor!
“Luckily I run over the garden hose. The gift that keeps on giving…” 😂😂😂😂😂
That front bumper looks WAAAY better than the chrome one. Nice work James, enjoyed the video like always 😁👍 The LED lights are a nice touch as well 🔧🔩

I am always happy when someone gets rid of a big ugly chrome bumper. My first W900A Kenworth had one, and when it dropped a valve I had to take the bumper off to get a wrecker hooked up. Not very practical.

Watching a video, Not seen how old bumper looks, yet, when retrofitted came here to say like WhY you getting rid of perfectly normal bumper and want to instal old rusty ugly one… But I mean if actual owners are saying chrome one was ugly, I continue watching and will see how it goes 😅 P.S. I’m sorry, but chrome one looked WAY better, whole bus looked more modern and had a posture old bumper is good only if you after authenticity or rigidity, otherwise it has added 20 years and nothing else
This bus is absolutely turning out to be one of my favorite projects you have done. I hope it continues. I hope you and your family get to enjoy many family trips together and have loads of fun. I always enjoy your content keep up the good work. I'll be watching and waiting for your next video as I normally do. Thanks for taking us along on your fun projects.
I don't know why I didn't discover this channel 3 years ago. But I have to say it was the best discovery of the year. The only channel that catches my attention and keeps my interest. Simply sensational. Keep it up James!!!!

I wish his name was Jimmy. James seems too formal.
The amount of work on the bus and the video is amazing. Holy smokes. Fun to watch
Hi James, One thing no one can ever say is you don't keep busy. My gosh Mr. where DO you get the energy and inclination let alone video and edit a show for me? You and about 3 others are my go to when I would have ordinarily sat in front of TV. I watch you on my phone and laptop. I haven't even turned my TV on since the election was stolen. I only get my news from RAV online. You and just a small handful of YT people are such a marvel you helped wean me off TV. I can't thank you enough. That bus is really looking good, and apparently your handy work is making the grade. It's on the job and not coughing or sputtering. I had a slide in camper for an old dilapidated Dodge Power Wagon that I used to carry to the North woods in Michigan's Upper Peninsula 2 or 3 times per year for hunting and your bus reminds me of those days. Thank you for posting and I hope things work out for you in the sub dept. ben/ michigan
Most enjoyable, nice to know of a chap after my own heart that isn't OCD.
One day this channel popped up about 6 months ago for me and it quickly became one of my favorite channels.
congratulations on a realistic , usable renovation . Far from perfect but perfect from afar!
The continuous high level of sarcasm makes your videos even better. I love this stuff.
I love that old bus! You've put a lot of work into it, but I say its well worth it!
I totally love this guy! I don't know how this guy can do this without manuals ant the seeming impossible problems to solve. He is so mellow! Fun to watch and see the amazing results.
That paint is good from far like a bunch of my work. The pacific badge with the red paint is sweet. It really brings the whole bus together.
The bus looks and sounds awesome. Its been fun watching the progress. Looking forwards to the next project.
Low Buck Garage needs to make a spin-off channel: "Low Buck Brain Surgery". The motto can be "We fix other stuff, too"
Very cool LBG, I love your channel the way you add humor to your undeniable knowledge. Can't wait for the next video.
The new lights not just work but they look great too! Nice job!
When it's seven days since your last upload and I find a video I haven't watch that just made my day! Bus content is always fun and I love seeing what you do to it to make it yours! 😁
Just found your channel this week. Love the low key sarcasm, reminds me of my Dad. LED lights are great aren't they? Believe it or not my Dad was making LED flashlights all the way back in the early 90's. They didn't have the output they do today with the new cob LEDs. He was soldering 4 or 6 together adapting them in the old cheap 2 cell D flashlights with LEDs he would get from American Science and Surplus. He was a radio tech in Nam in the Navy and taught me a lot growing up. Thanks for the great videos! Keep them coming brother!
Good vid. Rope caulk makes a great gasket for lights. It seals water tight but is easy to remove. It's especially handy for vintage vehicles that are hard to find seals for. Best of all, it's cheap!
The new bumper is better. LED lights seem awesome. The bus has been a great learning project.
Happy for You, Garfield !
Just finish binge watching the whole playlist, this channel rocks!!!
4:59 smart move. That's gonna last beyond your life time and it will insulate the wire (which is a demanding one) from heat from the roof. I've seen soooo many of these bus projects burn down from the AC wires (tho, admittedly, likely because the teens had run wrong gauge wire). 10:40 keep them. You never know when they come in handy. I have a bucket of them and they always come in handy with various projects. The stainless ones are perfect for filler material when welding patches. 37:21 protip, using the center hub of the rear wheel (if you happen to have a piece of pipe that fits it loosely, perfect) make an L shaped tool that can accept (at the end) a small brush. You can then make the perfect arches with the darker blue paint using the wheel hub as the center. I'd add like a third of an inch extra over the furthest (currently) dark blue line. To make sure it works right, you'll need a roller to roll on the body work to keep the L bracket sturdy. A caster wheel should work.

Right that arc should be a perfect arc to set it off.
The ability to decide when enough is enough is a skill I learned late in my work life. Thanks for another video.
Congrats on breaking 60K subs man! Been here since the beginning and watching you have fun. I think the bus is turning out to be a cherry of a ride.
Super cool project. It just keeps getting better.
I wish I had known someone like you when I was growing up. I would have learned so much more, so much faster.
The bus is looking great! I used that Durabak for the decks and roof of my old houseboat and it seemed to work really good. I don’t know how it held up long term because I’ve since sold it but I was quite happy with it.
That's a cool vintage bus.
That is indeed a complete win. I love how you have restored this beautiful bus and made it such a practical old vehicle with modern touches. Your videos are so entertaining and I love watching them. If I were your neighbour, I'd come over and hang out with you - if you'd have me. Great work, James.
The bus looks REALLY GREAT!! You have made great progress on that thing!
Laying in bed, it's nearly 3am and I've just finished binge watching your great series of videos. I will be checking out your other ones ASAP.
Awesome work in that vintage bus
I think the painting part with dark blue was my favourite part 😂 Had me in stitches from laughing to hard.
Opened up a can of tin worms hiding in that roof line. Holy smokes.
Hi James, in my opinion the bus looks much better with the standard bumper bar and the paint job is great. One suggestion, perhaps put a roof mounted radio antenna up near front of the bus, that way if you forget about your clearance height the antenna will warn you before you rip the air conditioner off the roof. A simple fix for a potentially expensive mistake. Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺
Lots of fun for watching this, much appreciate it, Thank you.
That dark blue paint sticking was insane.
Wow, the old bus looks soo much better !!! Keep up the good work !!!
Really nice paint colors for the south west. That ol' girl has come a long way.
Turned into a really awesome family vehicle
I’m happy to see that bumper swap, looks so much better now. Great job. Super cool old bus
Nice work! I think you made some good decisions on the bus, and the results speak for themselves. When it comes to troubleshooting, you're knocking them out of the park! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
That was very interesting 🤔 content. The bus 🚌 looks really good at 20ft. Not bad, you added a few years to her. Thanks 👍 for sharing.
I love it! Gorgeous color combo and more than presentable. I think rattle canning the rims dark blue would look sweet. ;)
Cool clearance lights! Will look great. Bus looks fab also.
Your dad is watching and smiling his ass off!
Lol, when you were knocking out the reflector and throwing the back plate in the trash I was thinking "hey, you can still use that!".
I've seen several of your videos and I can tell they are an ingenuity fest. My hats off to you sir, incredible material.
You have made a fantastic job my friend. We could all learn a thing or two from you. Not everything in life has to be perfect. 👍👍
I like the paint colors and the scheme, but it needs a dark blue accent stripe along the top in line with where you replaced the metal. The way it is right now, the white top is just floating in the air by itself. It's not tied in to the rest of the paint scheme. Also, I've NEVER seen a paint so sticky!!! That looked to be more trouble than putting on bed liner! As always, informative, entertaining and educational! Thanks.
This bus is really going to be cool. I love your channel. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
I never get tired of this bus project series
You're smart, resourceful, and do the kind of projects we can all relate to. Thanks for sharing. I hope we cross paths someday.
You just bought yourself another 50 years ! Amazing job ! I might have been tempted to fit some contour-hugging PV panels on the roof but there is plenty of time to do that.
OH, THE BUS CAME FANTABULOUS AND BOSS-O-ROO!
One of the best knowledgeable channels here on Y,T. ALSO EXPLAINS EVERYTHING WELL FOR US NEWBIE'S 👌Great content! Love the bus.. 👏👍
I just love your outlook, especially when your good enough is great. I bet your family has a great time with all your projects. keep the videos coming, they're really fun to watch, thanks
she's a beaut!
Another great video, love your thinking and just making things work. Some of the best times in life are when you do spontaneous things and enjoy them to the max….way to go
You made the best of a sticky situation with that blue paint.
Love the work you did on the Pacific badge! It really pops out! I'm enjoying your channel.
Congrats LBG, on finally getting ur Dad"s RV 53 Kenny running/driving and looking great.. Rv camping trips.
Hi, super fun to watch, very informative and entertaining. Many many thanks from a wet place Nr Liverpool UK. Love your weather!!
I believe you said this color scheme is what your dad wanted, and that’s cool, makes dad happy…I must admit tho, a red, white, and blue scheme would sure look nice too! Job well done, James👍
Love your channel ,love your videos.👍👍👍👍👍 Partsam round lights are great.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I’d totally hire you for a project of mine. Your amazing 👍!!!!!!!
One of my themes when it comes to projects is "Far from perfect but perfect from afar!!" Great job thanks for sharing your talents, style and adventures!!
I have spent hours looking for my cleco pliers. Most elusive tool I have ever owned!
From N. Ireland I salute you Sir. A wonderful series of videos and I am gobsmacked at your ingenuity! Well done.
Looking good! You have kept it entertaining to watch and I appreciate the editing work so it doesn't drone. Well done and thank you.
Thanks Partsam for those lights, they look cool!
I love your channel. The fact that you don't deal with things unless you have to is brilliant. Did your wife lose her mind yet? 😂
That blue paint is incredible.
👍🇺🇸 IT LOOKS SO NICE Compared To when You First Got It Nice JOB 👍 Can’t wait to see what your up to Next 👀 Thank You for all your Great Video !
The bus is looking incredible, and the video, as always, is amazing. Love from Brasil!
It looks good from far but far from good 😉 actually it really does look nice. You always do some incredible work and you do a wonderful job explaining all the details. Keep up the great work and happy camping. Oh and you really did an amazing job with the scenic shots.👍✌️🇺🇲
Have been watching this channel for a while now but just kinda for got about it... then today I told my self... "Hey what about that Low Buck Garage channel ya used to watch...?" "Didn't ya enjoy it when you were watching it...?" Hummm..., guess I have been missing it after all it was a fun one...?" So I typed in low buck garage and sure'nuff it's still there, so I said "Why not subscribe and help the feller out with his channel..." Now I am a proud subscriber of Low Buck Garage..." Hope the guy can forgive me for not subscribing earlier... 🙄 Look'en forward to future episodes and will get caught up on some of the one I have been missing.
You are almost ready for a big old boat my friend
Gotta say, that’s a cool old bus. Nice job!
You need to measure out the catalyst very accurately..... So I just squeezed a blob of catalyst into the rest .... I actually laughed out loud when you said that 😅
Much fun was had! Take care & stay safe.
You deserve 500k subs. Great non threatening entertainment.
I really like the new lights. They make the whole bus look brand new! And I think you did a great job cutting out the rusty metal and replacing it with new!
Been watching this project since the beginning. WOW what a task. great job my friend.
Gets better every time.
Beautiful scenery. Thank you
I think the bus looks good and the original bumper looks a lot better than the other one. The main thing here is to have a reliable vehicle to go on trips and enjoy the scenery.🥸👍👍👍👍👍
Great job, James, I suggest a front air dam. Especially appreciate the details on the lighting and wiring.
I LOVE THAT BUS! I'm so envious! What a splendid job you've done on it. If there would be any updates, I would love to hear and watch a video about them
That's pretty cool. Nice job. That coating you used would be good for a lot of things.
Back in the late 50s my Dad bought a 1940 Ford bus that had been converted to a camper. There was six pipe berths in the rear. It had an apartment size lp stove / oven. An ice box provided perfect cooling for perishables. It was slow. The brakes leaked brake fluid. But as long as you filled it every morning, the worked sort of adequately. Maybe had to pump them a little. We were the stars of the campground. We lived in SE Wisconsin and drove that bus all over the state as well as Minnesota and Canada. We brush painted it silver with blue fenders and trim. I have a picture of our family from about 1959 lines up in front of the old bus. Brings back memories and always a smile . I hope your kids enjoy your bus as much as we did ours! Thanks for the memories!:)
The antique 1953 Kenworth Pacific Bus looks amazing restored and the new led headlights and the new side-markers.
Your humour is just up my ally 😂
I love that bus
You have given some answers to at least a dozen of my build problems that i said "I'll deal with that one later". Love your work and outside the box remedies.
Oh ya, that's awesome! When you get to a million subs, people will recognize you wherever you go and ask for help low-bucking their junk, I mean classic. I would. I just have to wait for my '04 Ram to become 70 years old. Hmmm, are you teaching your kids low-bucking? Or maybe your grandkids! They are lucky to have been born into such a family!
