The Spanish sources I used to reconstruct all these Lulus are now floating around on KZread in their unaltered forms, BUT most of these cartoon couldn't be found in English until now.
WARNING: EXTREME RACIAL STEREOTYPES. Incidentally, I used the opening for this to restore those of Hullaba-Lulu and Lulu in Hollywood (since this was released between those two)

i think i get it now. The devil horn-style hairdo, the red hat and dress and the uncontrollable urge to cause chaos and destruction.. . Little Lulu is Little Lucifer. i can't believe it took me over 30 years to realize it.

Such an excellent classic cartoon series. Quality artwork, imaginative stories, great sight gags; it's too bad the really awful racist stereotypes have to keep me from fully appreciating it.

If you can't see what's racist about the exaggerated physical characteristics, stylized speech & behavior of a character like Mandy, I don't think anything I could say would help.

What I wonder is why did Famous Studios have to pay regular royalties to produce these cartoons? Why couldn't they just pay for the rights once as a number of companies do? IT's hardly a shock that they stopped making these cartoons

Its not racist when parodying some one from Brooklyn, why then is it racist when you exaggerate a southern maid
@ParamountCartoons I have no idea what the brief shifts to a greenish tint are about. I can only surmise it's a defect of the NTA print.

Some birds talk. Parrots & mynah birds do & there may be others. I'm not 100% sure.

The third cartoon in the little Lulu series.
Offhand, I'd say that this was one of the Famous cartoons that had its original titles restored when NTA made new syndication prints in the 1970's. Just a guess.
Wouldn't surprise me if they simply got lazy at that point and simply didn't think nothing of it.
