A gas of similar specs would be faster....that you do not grasp context is your shortcoming. Diesels are made to out torque gas, which they do ....

That is the point. It could rev more, thus burn more fuel and thus get more power. He forgets that diesels are mostly limited by injectors and boost though.

Man, these things are SO fun to watch and see in action, but I just can't over the oil wasted in tires and fuel.

Sure is one quick and fast beast. Does this thing run any methanol in the fuel or straight diesel? I have heard/read that tractor pullers use methanol. So many questions. Given the sound of the engine a custom cam is in use here. IDK. Just amazed. And so what about the soot, humans demand bazillion of tons of fuel be burned so they can enjoy heating and cooling

Blackout_o3o well....think about it. the older 4.3 is pretty crappy (don't call me an idiot. I like the newer 4.3 V6) but then there is the LS engine which is a big thumbs down. the LS2 is a great V8. my dads friend has a 1999 gm 2500 HD with a 6.0 converted to a 6.2 (I guess a 383 stroker) that was a badass truck. and to top it all off, I don't even like Chevy. hell, I betcha if Joker was on this vid he would probably drive a Prius with a clown horn and a little 3 cylinder under the hood

I honestly can say, I have never seen a more beautiful car to hit the drag strip. My only issue I have is all that black soot pumping out of the exhaust! Not only does the soot make it close to impossible to see it make its pass, but also the garbage it puts into our air. I think diesels are awesome, but the next evaluation is to make them more eco-friendly. Dirty running diesels have always been a huge issue in the city and in our harbours. Think of all the fans that would follow this car if it were also a testbed for cleaner running diesels!

Steve Solo dude just needs more air and less fuel. So don’t go jumping on the dpf/def band wagon like everyone else. I drive a deleted truck daily that doesn’t smoke as long as I don’t give it too much fuel before the turbo catches up.

I live for gas and diesel. I savor every puff of exhaust and listen to the rpms like a soundtrack on a song. I was put on earth for a purpose or two: to build trucks and tear up the road in them.
