Hi Chris a cracking video my friend enjoyed this one while chilling out in Turkey. Craig that was a belter of a mirror congrats on that. The swim you were fishing in on horseshoe lake with Craig is called boat point not the boat swim just for future reference

Very unusual for a pike to bite you off before you actually picked up the rod . assume your probably using 0.40mm line . Pike usually bite you off with a sawing motion while your playing them and then that would more than likely be the hook length . Sounds more like a snag or maybe zebra mussels ?
