Have you seen that commercial where the guy thinks, "if your shirt isn't tucked into your pants, are your pants tucked into your shirt?" A similar shower thought to yours would be, "are socks just foot gloves???" 😮😂 Fun fact: the German word for "glove" literally translates to "hand-shoe."

This costume is so dang beautiful, especially the Commedia dell'Arte Arlecchino ruffles... And I live for that nose blush, the effect created is absolutely adorable. Harley Quinn is my favorite DC villain, and I often feel like there is so much more that could be done with her character than is currently done, so seeing her reinterpreted in such a convincing way is a real treat!

This actually looks a lot like the original inspiration for Harley. Arlene Sorkin (her original voice actress) in Days of Our Lives wore something similar to this, in addition, her blonde hair and New York accent gave Paul Dini and Bruce Timm the inspiration for Harley Quinn. It looks amazing btw! Also were those quotes from Arkham Knight? I wasn’t sure. Please do Catwoman next!!! ❤️❤️

I just wanted to say that I've loved sad clowns since I was a child, and when I grew up I fell deeply in love with the whole vintage circus aesthetic. Now you, one of my favorite vintage youtubers, make a video related to one of my most favorite things in the world. I feel blessed. Thank you.

Seeing the Instagram preview I was a wee bit afraid you were doing “IT” or another of those horror clowns, but Harley Quinn is cute and fun especially with your 30s vibe. If clowns could have this old timey harlequin look I’d be ok with that. I also enjoyed the flow of the whole video.

Do you ever look at something and think “Oh, I wish I had thought of that!”? Couse that’s what I thought watching this. This is so awesome! The paint on the pants look like it was printed on, so pretty. Love the Make it vintage serie

Tearing up comfortable clothes to make new patterns is he BEST way to start because your brain starts to connect the END shape of the clothes with what shapes of the pattern you need. The stamped pattern on the pants looks AWESOME.

Another way I thought about to make the ruffles is to make them how you'd make a paper spring. They look kinda like the spring of a jack-in-the-box. Just a little more dimension than a normal accordion.

I had a Harley Quinn costume just like that one as a child, my Aunt made back in the 70s for my mom when she was a child. It was one of her first big sewing projects, and that costume was incredible!

“Hexagonal shapes” who’s gonna tell her (I stan but Rachel nooooo)

When you said Sleeves for your legs, I had a sudden mind image of "Quaddies" from Falling Free by Lois McMaster Bujold.

I just found your channel a few days ago and instantly fell in love with you and your content, i am now bingewatching your videos (because thats whats a productive 24 year old does in their freetime) 😂 Keep up the great work!

Here’s a fun tip I learned from Party Princessing: if you’ve done your make up and need to get in costume, put a jazzy little plastic bag over your head. You can put a hole in the top of it, or not if you want a fun ER story

Its refreshing to see a creative take on a Harley costume that doesn’t look overly sexualized or just randomly thrown together pieces from hot topic. It’s so true to her character and also super cute! This inspires me to try and finally make a design of harley’s costume I created in 8th grade before I knew how to sew.

Your willingness to try, and to push to success, is a delight.

After being obsessed with the new BoP movie with Harley, this was so exciting to see!! Always a fan of your videos :D

This turned out so great! It really makes me want to cosplay some characters, but make them my own!

I’m terrified of clowns but I stayed because it’s Harley and I’ve adored her since I was little.

I’m also a wig styler and recently I saw a drag queen wig styling video that recommended putting a plastic bag around the whole wig and then steaming into it so it contains all the steam and it BLEW my MIND. Figured I’d share! Also heat forming the foam mask to your face before gluing it on will help it stop popping off the ridge of your nose!! 😊 loved this look so much. Can’t wait for the next “Butt Naked Vintage”!! 😁

Hi!! If you ever want to make another of these ruffled collars again a good trick is to use coffee filters!! You fold them lengthwise twice and then staple the base then thread the ribbon through! Really easy, fast and cheap!!
