This is my 1928 Ford Model A Hot Rod. The frame has been boxed and reinforced, the top has been chopped 2.5 inches. The front suspension is from a Mustang II with disc brakes, the rear end is an 8 inch Ford posi-traction mounted via a 4 link suspension to the frame. The entire car rests on coil over springs front and back. It has Ford rack and pinion steering. The steering column is from a Ford Maverick. The engine and transmission is out of a 1965 Ford Mustang. Its a 289 with the following upgrades: Mild cam, ported and polished heads, headers, dual exhaust, aluminum high rise intake, 4 barrel 600cfm carburetor and electronic ignition. The shifter is a Lokar custom with a skull knob. She runs real good and eats IROC Z28s for lunch. The car weighs only 2600 pounds with the driver and a full tank of gas. That's about 1000 pounds less than a corvette. She can run in the 12s.
