1911-S15: Compact Worth Carrying

Спорт

Alpha Foxtrot is a company that has been offering high end 1911 and Glock clones for a while and the quality on them has proven to be very good. The 1911-S15 is a double stack compact 1911 intended for the carry market and uses the Shield Arms S15 magazine. the package is perfectly sized for daily concealed carry and has accuracy to spare while not trading reliability to achieve this. Alpha Foxtrot has been making moves in the industry and has been been rumored to even be getting ready to drop some 2011 style systems into the firearm market. Our experience has been very good with them and the S15 was no exception. Comfortable to run and with ergonomics dialed in right were the need to be the S15 is poised to compete with trusted names like Staccato with their C2 and the Wilson Combat SFX. This would also be a strong competitor for the CCP division of IDPA. It you are looking to keep the classic aesthetics of the 1911 but get it withe the capacity and civilized recoil of the 9mm Parabellum/Luger then you owe it to yourself to look very closely at the S15. While the choice to have and optional threaded barrel seems to be a strange one, the much more viable option of having and optic cut makes this a great choice.

Absolutely love mine. Just wish a reputable company would produce a holster for it 😒

I've two Tenicor hosters that fit this gun without issue (Certum and Velo for 1911s). It'll also fit the Certum and Velo for the Staccato 2011s. You'll almost certainly have to adjust the retention to account for the beefier rail. It'll also fit in the Priority 1 PCHS for the Bul Armory Ultralight 3.25". Again, you'll have to adjust the retention to account for the beefier rail. I've 1000+ rounds (a third of them being JHP) through mine...it's been fun. Over that time, I think I had maybe 3-4 fails to feed (it didn't like one particular brand of JHP) and it ate the rest without issue. I carried it while my Ultralight went back to Bul Armory for some work. It carries a lot better than the Ultralight (it's quite a bit thinner, which makes concealing it easier). I actually had a hard time switching back to the Ultralight once it was returned to me. You mentioned the threaded barrel being out of place. Well, choice is good and many folks own supressors, even for smaller guns. This gun isn't axactly small - it's not a pocket gun. It's about Glock sized, but thinner. As well, threaded barrels mean that you might be able to fit comps, which some folks opt for. The cool thing is, you can order an S15 without the threaded barrel if you don't care for that sort of thing. Again, choice is always good.

The Tenicor Certum3 is a perfect holster. Code 4 Defense has one if you want to run a light. railw1911 Light Option: Streamlight TLR-1 HL
