GEM Vol. 43, No. 4 June/July 2008 brought me here! Great video!
Nice will have to get up there to see it in person.
I love to see old things still looking good and working! I wonder why that is.
I wonder how much Petrol (Gas) it burned per hour? Great video thank you
that's just neat as hell!, goingboff the size of the flywheels, that entire set musta' been a bear to install, does the gennie still produce current?, or are the brushes too far gone?
Cool engine, is it in Britain/Europe?
Very Cool!
Does the generator still work If so, do you use it for anything?

From what I recall, the generators are still there but not hooked up. They're not used anymore that's for sure.

OK, thank you. I was wondering if perhaps it was used for some sort of educational display.

Too bad. It would have been interesting to hear the engine under load. Much different exhaust note.
Any ida who recorded this?

Our current Vice President recorded the video.
Really noisy tappets. But a nice easy start though.

Mercmad I believe it's the igniters that can be heard rather than the tappets. Igniters are rather noisy, due to their method of operation.
