"unlike most pure blood families"? Someone's read too much fanfiction. None of that is ever really mentioned in canon, except for the Weasleys of course and possibly to a very minor extent the Longbottoms, Diggorys and Lovegoods. It's only the fanfictions that ever make a really big deal out of blood-status and such things. For example I can't remember anyone but Draco Malfoy and just a few other characters (mostly lowlifes and not those wannabe-aristocrats) ever using the m-word. Muggleborns don't seem to be particularly disadvantaged in life, including job prospects at the Ministry. Canonically, there even was a muggleborn Minister. There are no magical lords either (pureblood or otherwise) who hold inherited seats on the Wizengamot.

All these years later, and when the music kicks in I still get chills...

That final zoom in with the finishing music makes my heart stop every time. I grew up with Harry Potter and it felt like my childhood ended. 💔

I remember the tears of everyone in the theater... finally, the boys grew old and have their respective families, as normal people It was a very long 10 years trip with them, sharing hundreds of moments and emotions. The farewell was unbearable, but warm at the same time...our childhood went with them, but we know we can come back every time we wish to the Platform 9 3⁄4

So true…and it will never be like that for our kids because they can binge the movies, we had to wait 1-2years for each film so we practically grew up like the characters grew up, I was practically around the same age as the kids when it started. And the movies evolved also according to the age of the viewers, the last ones are quite dark and more for a young adult while the first ones are way more for children. I don’t know how you let the kids today watch the movies because the last ones are way to dark🤔

19 years into the future is the most heartwarming and very touching scene in the entire Harry Potter franchise

HA! Would be the best plot twist ever.

Truly a beautiful scene. It feels like the end of an era, which it is, and such a happy ending to a series which had gotten progressively darker over time. If you don’t get at least a little emotional from this scene, are you even human?

The only thing I wish they mentioned for those who hadn't read the books at the time was to include in this scene that Professor McGonagall is Hogwarts headmaster. Those kids will have an amazing time with her in charge.

I literally get emotional when I watch this scene. We followed these actors and by characters for years one movie at a time and now we have made it to their last moment. Playing that music pulls on my hearts stings like crazy. I probably cry every time. These movies are special to us who grew up with them and cherish them. I wish I could go back and experience it all over again. It was worth the journey. Thank you JKR

Bonnie Wright is the real star of this scene, she holds the whole thing together by being such a natural and plain young mum.

Ikr I cried like it felt it was just yesterday when our little Harry Potter was clueless but excited about going to Hogwarts & now he's grown into a fine man who is sending off his sons to Hogwarts.

Harry Potter had a better conclusion to its story than Star Wars did with Rise of Skywalker

To be fair, one was entire story planned out from the beginning made by one person, and the other is three stories without a bigger picture in mind. That's actually the main issue with RoS, it tried to be the big finale of Star Wars overall when it should have just been the finale for the sequel trilogy.

Namikogua *PLOT TWIST:* The entirety of Cursed Child was just a trippy nightmare Harry had after George got him blackout drunk on Firewhisky spiked with Confusing Concoction as a prank. When the book/play ended, so did the trip, at which point Harry woke up, ran to hug his family and promise them NEVER to treat them that way EVER, and then proceeded to throw out all the alcohol in the house for good measure.

Apparently Ron is now Harry's Brother in law and all three of them have became relatives 😲😀

Like so many I watched the very first film as a kid and watched the final film as an adult. Watching the final scene is a tearful closure to a memorable childhood and era.

This was such an icing on the cake concluding all these movies The makeup effects for them being older aren’t the best But still a terrific wrap up for these 3 actors showing they’ve matured and evolved

If jk hadn’t done the 19 years later chapter I would have been wondering all my life what happened to them after the battle of hog warts. I’m so happy she did

That's the only thing i don't like, they should have been friends at the end. Even Snape ended up being the best and bravest character in the series, and they didn't give Draco a chance to redeem himself and become a good character. That scene where he passes the wand to Harry would have been the perfect redemption and would have shown that Draco is still good, but unfortunately, we didn't get that scene...

When I first saw Harry Potter movie part 1, I was still studying in highschool and now I am already a parent, my child loves the movie too, indeed very fascinating and nostalgic.

Will never forget seeing this in the theater! I'd been in the 3rd grade when The Sorcerer's Stone hit theaters, and Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 was the summer after I'd graduated high school. I remember reveling in how fitting it was that the last scene of the last film was the three protagonists waving goodbye to their kids; I felt like I was vicariously waving goodbye to my childhood in that scene as I geared up to leave the South for college in the Northeast. Great films!

i love how they all helped theyre children out and courqged them into not to being afraid to be in a house they think is rude

I was crying quietly when I watched this scene in the theater, but when Harry addressed his son by his full name, I totally lost it. 🥺😢😭 And to think that when I first picked up the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 1997, I put it down because I got confused by the terminology. “What the heck is a Muggle?” Fast forward to now: I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies, and I definitely know what a Muggle is. 🧙🏻‍♀️ 🧹

I cry every time the music plays and the camera slowly zooms in on them . My favorite book and movie series of all time .

Harry Potter has been my fav film for years it’s the best

People may not like Romione or Hinny. But if they never happened than the Golden Trio will never have become a real family. By Harry marrying into the Weasley Family he became a part of the family he always wanted to become a part of. Same thing with Hermione. It is actually really sweet when you consider it, especially since the golden trios kids are cousins. Mind blown when you realize that. It was actually brilliant when you think about that. Especially the whole “We’re In this together” and they become siblings.

Its been 10 yrs since the last movie, it always feels like yesterday but I will never forget how all of us Potterheads gets hyped up for this last movie wayback then. Am only 4 yrs old when this movie came out however I always felt my cousins and my auntie's excitement and hyped for this film. Great honor as always, growing up with Harry Potter.

Just imagine Minerva having to deal with parent-teacher conferences with these three.

When I read this scene, I cried. When I watched this scene first time, I cried. When I watch this scene I still cry. When I hear “Albus Severus Potter”, no matter what I cry. Thank you JK Rowling, thank you.

You notice where Albus and Rose sit on the train. Exactly the same places Harry and Ron sit when they first meet.
