Found her on Facebook. She got married to Dominique Carter in October 2021. This episode aired March 2020. Usually it takes a few months for an episode to air after filming. So I’m guessing that puts her at about 22-23 now, somewhere in that range. She had a baby girl in the summer of 2022.

Most 19 year olds aren't ready for marriage...but some are. My daughter and son-in-law were both 19 when they married 16 years ago. They are still the 2 peas in a pod that they always were...plus the two little peas they added, 13 and 15 years ago! My how time flies.

She is still happily married and a momma now per Facebook.

@@eeriecraft1797 My comment was agreeing to an other commenter… stating, that it’s odd, how mom has critical opinions about the somewhat revealing wedding dress being too sexy, but clearly was ok, for her daughter to get married at a young age. It seems like a clear oxymoron, as mom self contradicts herself, showing how protective she is of her daughter. Protective, when it comes to the dress. But maybe not, when it comes to a very early wedding. It also seemed clear, that the whole family handles, and strongly participates making the simplest decisions in this young girl’s life- not only about the dress. As I’ve seen it.

U don't understand there's a huge difference!! Showing off her God's for OTHERS to see is not the same as becoming a bride. Where her husband is the only one who'll see her goods.

My daughter met her husband when she was 15, he was 16 , they got together when she was 16, married at 27 and 28 , had a child at 36 and are still together now at 39 and 40. Proof that young relationships can work out. 🎉

You should never be forced to or feel pressured to but if you feel an attraction towards someone you are old enough to know where your boundaries are. It’s different if it’s sexual or getting married cause ABSOLUTELY NOT you should not before 19 or 20 even but dating is fine, especially at 16.

I met my husband at my 15th birthday party. We started dating 4 months later. He is 4 years older, which was a pretty big gap back then, but here we are 30 years later at 45 and 49 with 2 kids and a new grandbaby, so young relationships can definitely work.

Who knew she had that fantastic figure under that sweater and jeans she came in wearing? That second dress was spectacular on her and she blossomed from a girl to a woman in front of our eyes. Great choice.

My mother was 19, my sister was 18, my daughter was 19 when they got married. All long term decades long marriages. The younger two are still married, but mother widowed. I hope THIS couple has a long and happy marriage. 😉✌️❤️🦋🙏

I love her GRANDMA and mom too but how grandma immediately said good for her when she didn’t take the dress off was just so cute🥹

My mom was 19 & my dad 20, when they married,69 years later, they are still happily married, same for me and my 5 younger siblings, all still married, I’m on my 44th year of marriage, my brother too, sisters all married at 19-20 and we are all happy and married, except for one sister, who is a widow & waiting to be reunited with her husband in heaven.

Good for her for standing up for what she wanted. She looked lovely in her chosen dress and it’s great that her entourage got behind her. Yes, 19 is young by today’s standards but I know people who got married at that age and even younger and they are celebrating their golden wedding anniversaries.

Getting married in the 1960s and 1970s was a VERY different time. Tell me did your cousin's husband change diapers, go grocery shopping, cook, sit with the kids (and not call it babysitting)? Drive on the school field trips and bake for the bake sales? How about bday, xmas gift shopping? My folks married at 20 and 23 and just celebrated their 62nd anniversary. They did their best and did many things right. There were a team in many ways. But lets be honest marriages in that era (and to an extent now) were held together by the ladies. Many got an early start barely out of their teens and it had nothing to do with maturity-it was just expected. No disrespect to your relatives intended.

I hope you put pictures of the girls in their marriage at the end of the episode 🤭💞

That first dress looked too old for her. She's such a cutie and i hope she is very happy!

It's the South, folks, and it's almost 13-15 years ago is when the show aired. Whether or not you think she's too young, she made a decision for herself and she found someone that she loves and a dress that she loves. I hope her marriage worked out, and that she's even more grown up now! The world was very different back then that it is now.

My great-grandmother got married at 14 and started pumping out kids not long after. Now that’s too young and I believe illegal now, but way back in the day it was simply done 🤷‍♀️

Really? 2020? That's REALLY hard to believe because Lori looks super young here! Edit: I know why now... This is AFTER Lori beat her cancer & they've only filmed a handful of episodes of her after her cancer. She looks amazing! I actually thought this was BEFORE her cancer!

My husband's cousin and his wife were both 19 when they married 40 years ago, they are very happy.

pro-tip: if you're appalled by the idea of the bride wearing a "sexy adult dress" (edit: and the bride is "so excited to play dress-up!") the bride is too young to be getting married.

I know that lots of people are saying 19 is too young to get married. And while it is young, people can find a forever person at a young age. My husband and I met each other when I was 18 and he was 20. After about 2 years together we got engaged and we got married this year in January. My cousin and her husband were high school sweethearts, so were my grandparents and they’ve been together for 55 years. I think when you find your person there is something that clicks and you know 😊 for me I don’t think I would’ve wanted to get married at 19 but it’s always possible to find forever love at a young age

My mom got married at 23 in 1948 and she said she was old because most of her friends were married out of high school, women must have been more mature then.

This is in the South. Quite a few conservative religious communities there. People often get married young so they can get physical. Also it's expected that women will have babies and keep house, so there is no waiting for them to finish their education past high school.

My mom was 17...dad 19 or 20. They were together until she passed away...she raised 8 children, I'm the youngest and will be 67 this year 2024. I didn't get married until I was 34. But for me it was the right thing to do😊

Most of the storylines for these segments is daughter wants to be sexy and mother wants a princess gown. Or bride wants to be a princess and either her friends, or her gaudy mother who is living vicariously through her daughter, want her to be sexy.

People saying she's too young-- in a lot of cultures it's very typical to get married at 19. If it feels weird to you, maybe that's because your cultural background and what you're used to is different from hers. But that doesn't make you right or her wrong or vice versa-- it just means people have different expectations based on what they're used to.

Not all mothers want their daughter to be a princess…some of us want her to have the gown she wants for HER wedding. Having said that, the first dress was not right. I absolutely agree with her mother about the age issue…I’ll grant people do marry young and stay married for the rest of their lives…statistically they are few and far between.

She doesn't seem grown enough to be getting married and it has NOTHING to do with age. My comment is only based on watching her in this video. But she's got a supportive family and a 😻 uncle.

My cousin and her husband married right out of high school, and they celebrated 53 years of marriage this year. A couple of my friends from high school married a week after graduation, and they were married over 30 years when she unfortunately died of cancer. A lot more young marriages work out than you think. ♥

19 is too young to be making decisions about getting married. I was 25 when I got married and wished someone had found the words that would have had me calling off the wedding. I hope she doesn't end up regretting her decision.

I got married at 19, worst mistake of my life, I know that's not true for everyone, but for me, it was a terrible move

I love this show, but I would never take anyone with me to pick out my wedding dress, well, maybe only my Mother. I think it should be up to the bride to pick her dress after all she's the one that's going to be wearing it and getting married. I rather it be a surprise. Everyone is going to have different opinions and things could get to be a bit hectic making it hard on the bride. As long as the bride is happy, that should be all that matters

In the south and midwest, it's still not uncommon for women to get married at 18-19. If you're in a religious family, it's almost expected of a woman to get married young. No, not in EVERY religious family, but in some. I remember my grandma putting a little pressure on me to find a husband after i turned 18. She got married at 17, so getting married in your 20's she considered "old." 🤣 I'm in my 30's and haven't found Mr. Right yet.

I'm not against someone 19 getting married, IF they are mature. She obviously is not mature.

No reason to try other dresses if she is certain that one was her dress, that's the point. Lori explained that herself, there was no point in trying more just for him, when it wouldn't shift her opinion anyway. The decision was already done. In worse case, she could get attached to two dresses, then what?

Why ! Oh why get married at 19 ! A person's brain does not fully mature intil they are 21.. Why chose to become a mundane housewife looking after a man, cooking, cleaning, babies.. At 19 get an education, travel and fly on your coat tails. Enjoy your life. That uncle knows deep down this girl is too young.
