I've considered opening a mail-in repair business run out of my place but that is one of the fears that is holding me back...roaches. I once lived in an apartment complex that acquired roaches and they never went away. I fear getting a package with live ones and winding up growing an infestation.

Roaches are a reality in the console repair business. Some claim if you put the console in a plastic bag along with a rag soaked with isopropyl alcohol and seal it up tightly, it will kill all the roaches inside overnight. Have not tried it.

Does it work in safe mode while connected to the USB port? If It works in safe mode while connected but not normal mode, your Bluetooth/WIFI module is probably dying or dead.

In a few videos when you blow out the console with compressed air, I cant tell if the fan was still connected to the motherboard. I know that these things will generate a voltage when spun by the compressed air. Not sure how well the fan circuit could tolerate it. Perhaps you can explain if this would be an issue or not? Thanks.

A conventional DC motor will act as a generator if spun but this fan is not conventional. It is a pulse type motor with drive circuitry built into the fan. I don’t believe there is any chance to generate a current.
