19 minutes of POV Street Photography in Paris with the Sony A7C
I took my Sony A7C paired with the Sony 24mm 1.4 GM, Sony 85mm 1.8 and the Sony 50mm 1.8 out in the streets of Paris, France on a beautiful evening recently. We captured some photos of my wife along with street photography as we weaved our way along the Seine. We ended up at the Louvre where we found the courtyard had been turned into a temporary skatepark! I hope you enjoy this relaxing 19 minutes of POV Street Photography in Paris with the Sony A7C!

Came for some A7C research and stayed for your amazing Go 2 footage. Great vid!
This was such a GREAT video!! Been to Paris twice and this made me nostalgic and want to go back again with my A7C this time! Thanks!
This video is sick man!! Thanks for putting it together. I’d love to see some more vlog type stuff especially in and around the Calgary area. Cheers!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the videos, feels like I was there. Brilliant stuff
So informative content and real world learning! love it!
Love this man. Y'all need to come to Chicago and we can do a film photo walk. The insta 360 is a game changer. I need one of those.

Thanks so much bro, this was a fun one. Really liking this format. And oh man you already know i'm down. We just need to do it before or after it hits -20 lol. and yeah bro this Go 2 is so clutch. It's main limitations are battery life and storage space, a tradeoff that comes with its super small size. But you can work around those issues because the case charges it quickly and you just have to shoot it kind of like a camcorder, vs just letting it run endlessly. I'd definitely recommend it though, I think it'll be a part of most KZreadr's arsenal soon and I'm excited to see how they improve on the form factor over the years.
You take great images, city people are the best kind of people to take pictures of because they do not care, they live in their own bubble, its when you get on the countryside it becomes a serious challenge, depending on where you go though, in my experience country people tend to be very cheerful but if the places are depressing so are the people but city people never surprises me no matter the city.
I had to like and subscribe when your wife responded with a "cool". My wife were hysterical as she admitted that's her with me. I just bought the A7C with the kit and 50m 1.8 lenses. I am a street photographer at heart and I'm excited to reignite old passions.
Love POV videos bro keep it up ❤️
Love this style of video with the insta360 and you talking through your process! Very cool to watch 👍🏻👍🏻
So far I like this video better than the other videos that shows specs and comparison that I watched. I really like the looks of this camera but the small viewfinder and the missing buttons makes it difficult to chose. Good job man!
Very therapeutic to watch, cool to see the POV.
At 13.55 You disturbed the guy who was drinking his coffee in peace there😬
This was super dope, Paris is stunning too I miss that place
Beautiful view and photos and Paris! Thx for testing. It's soooo helpful in making decision for buying this camera❤️
Great video. Please do more pov street photography. Really looking forward to it :)
Good video dude. Love the commentary and vlogging style you have. I learned a lot about the camera and more
Marriage summed up with one interaction. "Cool" I feel you man!
So sharp and such great photos taken, feels alive~
Love the shots man, I haven't been out to shoot in a while. This definitely motivated me, Keep it up!

that 24 1.4 is magical.
Little tip to expose your shots, use aperture priority when there's alot of light so that you don't have to worry too much about the other parameters
Love this shots! I’ll be purchasing the a7c after this video!
Damn, effortlessly good. It’s the colours in your photos for me. Love the tones bro great video looking forward for more of these.

Thanks so much for checking it out and for the super kind comment. That Paris light just hits different with the tones! This one was a ton of fun, trying to shoot a few more while we're traveling out here. Tons of great streets to shoot on.
Great video, helped inspire me to shoot more and pull the trigger on the A7C! ✨
Great pics and behind the scenes video. I think this will be my new travel camera. Thanks for sharing! 😎📷🎥🔥🔥

Thanks for remembering me that the 85mm f1.8 is not only for portraits, never had mine with me while travelling, but I will try next time 😂

Very cool. What a place to take this camera for a spin. Looking to pick up a new camera and I think the A7c might be the one.
i was in paris last week. the young man running through the picture at 3:10 min was sitting next to me in the cafe. what a coincidence :D nice video though
Great video man I would want this camera eventually maybe when the price drops
Beautiful images, I just bought this camera mainly for video. I’m gonna explore what it can do anomorphically!
Nice shots!
Man this setup is so ridiculously big and attract so much attention.
You're damn honest man.🫡 Respect ❤love
Nice video man! I've just started pov videos too. Look forward to your new work 💪
Indeed, streets are talking ^___^
Bro, I enjoyed this sequence and your enthusiasm for shooting but those moments where you show the wife and she was like “no” or “cool….” hurt my heart so much 💔 Hopefully she’s usually more encouraging and just had an off day for whatever reason
An awesome and well put video! Thanks a lot for a nice POV street photography review of this camera. Really helps with making a decision about buying this camera. Keep it up and good luck with photography ❤️
you guys kdding? the first shot was great @2:10 ! the light and background great, well focused and just the right amount of depth, the main subject was well captured. i prefer it to 3:33 and 4:49
Jonathan, could you please advise: which alpha is better with Laowa 24mm lens for macro photo/video: 7C or alpha 7iii? They have different shutter: 1/4000 vs 1/8000 and curtains difference... But i don't know if these differences are important
16:25 so hurt :( ps: nice pic man!
I got the same gear but how come I couldn't get good photos like this guy? Damn it, they are in Paris!
May I ask 'how much' post processing you do regarding colors/tones etc, if that's quantifiable? I'm in the new market for a new camera and am torn between the Sony A7c and the Fuji X100v. I'd really like the advantage of full frame, and superior auto-focus compared to the Fuji, but am definitely attracted to SOOC jpegs on the Fuji. I'm a casual shooter, not commercial/professional and don't really want to sit at a computer for hours after taking photos. Thanks, and great video!

Better you should go for Fuji camera, if u doesn’t want to do much post processing. But the low light performance isn’t that great Fuji cameras.
Definitely from the iPhone generation. Not a single shot in landscape orientation.
I miss the sound of those French sirens that sound like they need new batteries 🫶
Hey man great video! I just picked up an a7c as well. Do you notice the shutter sound is abnormally loud/high pitched? Compared to an a7iii or a7riv for example its more of a deeper "thunk" sound. But my a7c shutter makes almost like a "whurring" sound like an RC car?

I just got the Sony A7c , what software can I use to edit? Or are the pictures from your camera direct?
Hey. Superb clicks with sony a7c I'm about to purchase it. Just wanted to confirm that those pictures were post edit or raw files

@@pierrenj79 how are you enjoying it! my brain makes me think i should stay with my traditional DSLR set up and save up for the a7iv but the a7c is so little and tempting! curious any other thoughts you have on it + what lenses you got!
Hey Jonathan, been wondering if I should get the A7C. How do you have the aperture setup?
6:59 I get this look downtown Las Vegas shooting street. 😂
What is the picture profile on those. pp7 ok, but what is the config on it?
I like your camera straps, where did you get them?
Cool 😂😂
i think a7c for photography? or videography?? i most main photography which?
Nice video, thanks. My credo as well: to ask for permission and/or forgiveness. I'm a huge fan of the Sony a7c, and I recently added the 40mm to my 85mm and 24mm lenses. As one guy put it, a kind of "Fuji killer" - fast and small, always sharp. Hilarious showing her response as well (not happy) - lord knows we've all been there. Nice way to wake up on a Saturday. Congrats. / P.S. Would also be interesting to hear if you guys ever put down the cameras and just stroll, being part of the environment instead of documenting it. The constant balance, right? 😉
A7c Real-Time Tracking Touch funktioniert wie bei a6600 und A7iv oder a7siii genauso gut? A7c real-time tracking touch works just as well as on a6600 and a7iv or a7siii?
so what u prefer the 35 mm. or 24 mm ? (for street photography)
@JonathanJacobsMakesVideos
2 жыл бұрын
Personally I prefer 24mm now, but that's only because i have other primes in my kit. 24 for me is where it gets wide enough that I can comfortably capture landscapes and architecture without introducing too much warp when shooting people. 35 was better for subject isolation though.
what presets are you using? amazing colors!
@JonathanJacobsMakesVideos
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've got a buuunch of presets I use kind of like film stock depending on what I'm shooting, but my two favs right now are Shortstache's and also Phlow's. Both operate on a Profile level instead of just a preset level so you can dial back the overall look. Personally I just use them as a starting point so what you see here is tweaked a bit, but they are great starting points to establish a similar tone. Shortstache's tends to be a little too muted and Phlow's tend to be a bit to "filtered" looking when at full strength so I just adjust them appropriately or edit from scratch depending on the project.

is that ur photo in the video edited or no edited ?
Hahaha. “ no. No. Change your lens.” Wives are the harshest clients. And they make you hold all their stuff! Mine’s the same way. How do you like the insta 360? I’m looking for a pov cam debating between GoPro/action2/360 x3. Is the audio straight from the insta360cam?
That is a original file?
Я хочу эту камеру либо а 7 iv
Are the pics color corrected? Sorry Super green to photography.
when you wating its already nor pure story. I do shots without planing or waiting. those kind of shots pure story between you and subject. If you planing or prepare or waiting - you already "creating" that story. street photography is about telling story and not creating story. creating story is much more easier then caching unique moment.
Nice video, but I don't get why you shoot almost all pictures in portrait mode? And a lot of them are presented in landscape mode. Seems like a waist of pixels in cropping to me. For street photo I would do it the other way around. Basically shoot landscape and crop to portrait for the few pictures where it felt right.
That puddle was cool actually, also your wife is hot.
